2018 CMT Music Awards

The 2018 CMT Music Awards took place on Wednesday (June 6) in Nashville, Tennessee with many established and up-and-coming country music stars in attendance.

Kelsea Ballerini: The singer wore a custom Brandon Maxwell top with trousers from the Resort 2019 collection which, if judging by this and Blake Lively’s recent look is going to be full of dazzling sequin looks. The two-piece was styled with Giuseppe Zanotti ‘G Heel’ sandals.

Lindsey Vonn: This red Hamel dress was the perfect way for alpine ski racer to showcase her gorgeous toned body. I’m sure you’ll agree this was on the right side of sexy.

Kaitlin Doubleday: I’m usually a fan of all things Georges Chakra, but I found this Spring 2018 jumpsuit a bit on the tacky side.

Jennifer Nettles: I’m telling myself that I shouldn’t like this dual-colour embellished number, but I do. Between the lux fabric and the bedazzlement I’m sold.

Karen Fairchild: If you go on Karen’s instagram you will see that she owned this spanx flash moment like a true boss. But let’s face it, Spanx with the asymmetrical nature of this dress was always going to be a challenge. I love the matching silver guitar clutch.

Danielle Bradbery: I found this Luciana Balderrama to be a tad overworked. The skirt threw me off.

Kelly Clarkson: Is it me, or does Kelly appear to always go for a similar style of gown? This Alex Perry gown has the same vibe as her Billboard Music Awards gown (with the same shoes).

Carrie Underwood: The singer opted out of wearing a princess style gown for this Nicolas Jebran embellished mini with a kick-ass, sexy vibe to it. MARLI diamond jewels and Jimmy Choo’s Lucy pumps completed her look.

Olivia Lane: I love the colour combo of Olivia’s Area dress, but I would’ve preferred sandals instead of booties.

Kimberly Schlapman: I’m usually a big fan of Kimberly’s style, but I couldn’t get on board with this J. Mendel jumpsuit. Me not liking a jumpsuit is blasphemy, but I’m not a fan of the fabric or the colour. The look was styled with a matching Tyler Ellis clutch.

Kalie Shorr: This in vintage Jean Paul Gaultier black gown was one of the more muted looks on this red carpet, but also one of the best in terms of not over doing it and keeping it classy, plus it didn’t feel dated despite being vintage.

Cassadee Pope: There is something about this Michelle Mason look which feels very dated. I do love her Stella Luna sandals however.
