Rita Ora In Prada – 2018 Met Gala

Rita Ora shut down the red carpet with her entrance at the 2018 Met Gala on Monday (May 7) in New York City—not the least because of her magnificently long chiffon train.

While we’ve seen a lot of light and golden looks thus far, the songstress tapped into a darker side of heavenly fashion with this Prada gown.

Lit by bright floral appliques throughout, the design was a standout, especially when complemented by the drama of the glittery gloves, Lorraine Schwartz jewels, neon bag, and yes, the black-rose-covered headpiece—worn in homage to the theme, naturally.

Some may be getting Beyonce vibes from the headdress that reminded me of the one we saw on Queen Bey at the 2017 Grammy Awards.

But, this look was all Rita, and she owned the dark-angel quality.

Yellow purse? She just cannot not be in your face and I’m over it.

The bag and the gloves are an overkill – also its Rita Ora – I really cannot get on board with anything she does – everything screams try-hard.

her best look to date, lose the yellow purse this would’ve been perfect

I’m on board with this look.

I do not get the bag.

I really hope this marks the last we’ll see of her for the rest of 2018. Go away Rita and make an actual album, or stop turning up arbitrarily to things

To me it’s a wonderfully Gothic Old Testament kind of look…a personal best. Love the unexpected softness of the floral details.
    Ditch the bag though.

Im not really into this. It feels so ordinary. in a way. The yellow bag is awful. The pattern in the dress is unappealing. The headpiece deja vu.
Just not feeling it at all.

The headpiece is as mentioned below repetitive of Beyonce’s. I am not surprised because Rita copies other celebrities. That being said, other than the bag, this looks good and is one of Rita’s best looks.

I like the dress but the headdress is a retread (it is the exact shape and style of Beyonce’s!) I expect more originality from Rita

Not loving this at all, especially not the yellow bag. Also a bit baffled how she gets invited to these events

These head pieces should be worn more often.

+1 to that. They add such a fun element to all the looks.

YES. I would love to see headpieces incorporated into more red carpet looks.

She did not shut the red carpet with that yellow bag that’s out of place. She almost had it!

    The headpiece is FAB.
