The Duke And Duchess Of Cambridge Visit To Sweden – Day 2

The second day of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s royal visit to Sweden brought with it a trio of looks for Catherine, where she made the rounds in Stockholm on Tuesday (January 31),
Karolinska Institute Visit: Another day, another Catherine Walker coat from one of Catherine’s favoured labels. Yet, this red houndstooth number was a bolder departure for the duchess, and I loved every minute of it—especially because it was reminiscent of a Moschino look that Lady Diana wore in December 1990. However, Catherine did keep her accessories in rather safe, classic territory with a burgundy Chanel bag and matching Tod’s shoes along with Cornelia James gloves and In2Design baroque pearl earrings.
Inside: Once inside, Catherine replaced her coat with a tweedy, winter-white dress that you may be surprised to learn was Alexander McQueen, as it was such a subtle, conservative statement. I do think the burgundy handbag and pumps were a better fit here.
Fotografiska Gallery: She wore an Erdem floral dress to round out the day yesterday, and that trend continued here with this empire-waist design from the label’s Fall 2017 collection. The rich blue hue was so striking on her, but I was wishing for a different pair of shoes without ankle straps. Her last Erdem frock didn’t fare too well for many, so does the colour improve this second outing for you?
