There was a bounty of beauties at the 16th Sidaction event, which is part of the Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture Spring Summer 2018 season, on Thursday (January 25) in Paris, France.
Melanie Thierry: I did a double take when I saw the actress as her blonde hair has been dyed a striking ginger shade. It was offset with the jeweled embellishment on her Miu Miu outfit. The beige coat could be deemed too casual by some, but it had an insouciant allure.
Isabelle Huppert: The ‘Elle’ actress proved the beauty of simplicity in an Azzaro Fall 2017 Couture gown. The diagonal detailing had a captivating wrap-around event that showcased her incredible figure.
Elodie Bouchez: Skinny pants plus a mannish blazer is a favourite silhouette of many. She took her Saint Laurent separates further adding a shimmering shirt and supersized earrings. It could have had 80s power suit connotations, but the dark colour palette and tailoring made it feel au courant.
Aymeline Valade: The French model embodied je ne sais quoi Parisian elegance with her white suit. The dramatic shape of the wide-leg trousers was tempered by the sharply constructed jacket.
Coco Rocha: Making a bold statement in blooms, the model donned a Jean Paul Gaultier Spring 2017 Couture ensemble which had a luxurious Eastern influence. I think she could have actually pushed it further with the coordinating trousers or a white gown.
Maria Borges: The Angolan model lit up the night in a Balmain Spring 2018 look. There is a spell-binding effect from the way the fabric is reminiscent of chain mail. It’s a shame that the too-long pants mar the finish.
Sara Sampaio: The Portuguese model opted for a shorter silhouette to show off her pins. The textured fabric toughened the girlish shape of the dress with Messika jewels playing off the patent finish.
Olga Kurylenko: The model-actress looked resplendent in red. The entire ensemble had a carefree elegance with the minimal jewel and makeup. The bow on the clutch added a touch of whimsy.
Arizona Muse: Another beauty in black, the model fell for the charms of sheer skirts with a Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2018 dress. The embellishment needed no other competing factors.
