Dakota Fanning In Adam Selman & Prabal Gurung – ‘The Alienist’ Sundance Film Festival Screening & The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon

As Dakota Fanning continues to promote ‘The Alienist,’ she was at the Sundance Film Festival screening on Friday (January 19) in Park City, Utah before jetting to New York City for ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’.

‘The Alienist’ Screening: Thus far, her promo tour has consisted in black, white, or red looks, but for Sundance she wore an Adam Selman Spring 2018 blue plaid dress that was befitting of her Park City locale—that is, once she styled it with a black turtleneck and over-the-knee boots. I love the playful, trompe l’oeil seams and bow that gave the dress a youthful flair. I do think a chic ponytail or bun would have been a nice change here.

‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon’: Some of you have found Dakota’s style to be on the ‘meh’ meter, but she attempted to bring some shiny excitement with this Prabal Gurung Fall 2018 all-over sequin dress paired with Christian Louboutin ‘Marchavekel’ sandals. The fit of the frock may not have been exactly perfect, but this was a dazzling departure for her—although I know many will again be calling for a new ’do.
