Natalie Portman In Christian Dior Couture & America Ferrera In Christian Siriano – 2018 Golden Globe Awards

Natalie Portman was one of the stylish attendees at the 2018 Golden Globe Awards on Sunday (January 7), joining a pregnant America Ferrera.

Both showed their support in black, with the ‘Jackie’ actress opting for a Dior Couture ensemble while America wore a custom Christian Siriano sequin gown with Stella Luna shoes.

Natelie’s dress had a luxurious Victorian feel from the rich black velvet and the long sleeves.

The low neckline and V-shaped cut-out added a sultry allure while helping to modernize the silhouette.

The belted version on the runway presented a different vibe. I would have liked to see the presenter wear a belt with some special detail as it would have helped make the look more memorable. Thoughts?

America’s lovely dress is ruined by the blazer.
Natalie’s…I have notes. I love the medieval feel. I love the rich velvet. But it’s sitting so low that the neckline is simultaneously revealing/making the overall look very heavy.

I’m surprised at the other comments. Natalie’s dress was my favorite of the entire evening. It manages to be both glamour and sexy, and doesn’t need a belt or any other accessories. It’s perfect as is.

Morticia Addams stepping on the red carpet. Dull and uninspiring in every sense. And that is for Natalie, only.

+1 LOL! She just doesn’t seem to be interested in dressing well anymore.

which is a contradiction in itself giving she represents Dior, no?That’s why I once called her the Casual Fashion Paradox.

I miss the belt. I dislike the cleavage and I wished the bottom was flare.
I love Natalie but I don’t get her obsession with looking much older than she is. It’s getting annoying. New stylist needed

I really dislike Natalies dress. It looked terrible on screen too. I adore her and think she’s a beautiful woman, she just doesn’t try hard enough (anymore) when it comes to fashion.

America should’ve wore it without the blazer. Natalie’s dress is aging

I agree the belt should have been kept. I also would have liked to see her pose alone so I could get a better sense of the fit and overall look.

Looks too much like a period dress, boring, and def. missing a belt.
