Emerging Brand of the Year – Johanna Ortiz

Colombian designer Johanna Ortiz has captured the fashion hearts of a number of starlets this year.

And, it’s no wonder, as she conjures hyper-feminine looks that are full of sass and attitude—but never too contrived or twee.

Her signature look rests in her exuberant use of ruffles, bold and beautiful prints, and flattering off-the-shoulder and shoulder-baring silhouettes.

It all makes for a fresh and approachable look that fits anyone’s style—as the wide range of her followers can attest—from Kerry Washington to Malin Akerman, Beyonce, Rachel McAdams, and the list goes on and on.

She’s a designer for the girls who just want to have fun. And, who doesn’t qualify for that.
