Rita Ora In Marni – BBC Radio 1

Rita Ora made quite a colourful statement when making her way to the BBC Radio 1 studios in London today (October 20), to promote her new single ‘Anywhere’, which she shot in New York two weeks ago.

Looking like she just stepped off the set from ‘That 70s Show’, the singer turned heads wearing a Marni Fall 2017 nylon knit top, checked trousers, alpaca coat and calf leather sandals.

There is a lot of colours, patterns and textures to contend with here, but I feel like this pulls this off with great aplomb; after all this isn’t her first flirtation with 70s style.

Hit or miss?

She pulls this off really well. In fact she looks even better than the model, which doesn’t happen often with the more creative looks. Without the runway belt I’m in love with the outfit.

    She’s ridiculous.

I think it’s great. Very modern and retro at the same time. Love the hair and the shades but the open toed shoes are a tiny complaint.

I cant even believe Im thinking this but….I kinda love this on her…It works. Its quirky but not silly. I feel its more fun than try hard. I am shocked at myself right now.

I expect that this look will not be loved by all but I really like it. I am not usually a fan of Rita’s style and this may verge slightly into costumey with the hair and glasses but despite that and probably because of the colors, I think this works. My only real complaints are the length of the pants and I would prefer different footwear.
