Diane Kruger In Monse – 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards

From the minute she hit the blue-carpeted scene, Diane Kruger was very much colour-coordinated at the 2017 CFDA Fashion Awards on Monday (June 5) in New York City.

I was mesmerized by her Monse Fall 2017 strapless design, not only for its intense electric-cerulean hue but also for the sequined embellishment that looked like golden paint dripping down the dress.

Not only that, Diane’s styling upheld a sense of chic simplicity to further enhance the sublime power of the gown. Only Delfina Delettrez mismatched earrings were necessary to complete the look’s forward edge.

Were you as captivated by this statement as me?

She looks fantastic. On one hand, its basically like a towel wrapped around her but on the other hand the color and the fabric exude luxury and glamor. I am loving it.

This is simply mesmerizing!!! It will definitely go to my BDOTY list.
So glad to see my queen (well, one of them) back! I am in love with this look!!!

This may be the first time ever that I have to say that something that Diane was wearing looks like a deja vu. Nothing exciting here.

Dianne Kruger has never looked more beautiful – love everything about this look – such easy elegance – stunning

This blue is shutting down my brain. The colors make the look

The look is quite arresting in its own way.

The fit of the bodice looks very uncomfortable.

I really like it, it’s interesting, she pulls it off and the color is of course gorgeous.

This is beautiful. It’s a shame the carpet and backdrop had echoes of the same shade of blue. Imagine how stunning the whole thing would look on a traditional red carpet!

It’s a no for me. It just looks like a very fancy towel.

It does, but then again, it taps into that fantasy of looking fantastic even with just the simplest thing on you, like a towel wrapped around your body. Maybe a different fabric would’ve alleviated the “towel effect”, though.

Love the shade of blue .
but I couldn’t help but feeling it looked like someone splashed a whole can of yellow paint on her velvet robe and it was dripping down.

Charlotte, this is exactly what the designers want to do. So, if you could see it, they’re succeded!

The dress is gorgeous and the shade is beautiful on her, but it looks like it’s weighing her down especially the bodice. A dress that heavy needs straps to balance it out especially if it were to be worn by someone who’s a bit more endowed in that area.

Love that her style sense has moved a little bit to the edgier side.

J’adore, the color, the gold sequins…beautiful and impactful.

This looks fantastic. I feel like Diane had a little bit of a slump but is now completely back on track.
