BAFTA Celebrates ‘Downton Abbey’
BAFTA celebrated ‘Downton Abbey’ at Richmond Theatre in Richmond, England on Tuesday (August 11), where the lovely ladies of the show were in attendance.
Joanne Froggatt: Maximizing the minimalist trend, the actress donned a Victoria Beckham white gown—which was lightly embellished at the back for visual interest—paired with an Edie Parker clutch. Breezier waves added a lighter, relaxed touch to the sleek look.
Michelle Dockery: Also taking a more minimalist angle, Michelle wore a Valentino Fall 2015 black and white ensemble that was a bit severe if not striking in its simplicity—especially with the bold finish of a red lip.
Laura Carmichael: While she maintained some of the black-and-white colour palette, the actress embraced the signature florals of Erdem in a Resort 2016 bow-accented dress, which was a sweetly charming look for her.
Sophie McShera: Flourishing in miniature embellished blooms, this Nicholas Oakwell Couture dress was likely more impactful in person. A sleeker hairstyle and the punch of a bright lip would also have taken it to the next level.
Lily James: I was actually quite puzzled at this look from Lily. The embossed Ulyana Sergeenko Fall 2015 Demi-Couture dress was not all too flattering and was dated and mature for the vibrant young actress who I didn’t recognize at first glance. The Christian Louboutin ‘Youpi’ pom-pom pumps did nothing in the way of lightening the mood.
Myanna Buring: Her navy embroidered dress created a classic, lovely silhouette that was modernized by her shorter bob.
