Julianne Moore attended the ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ premiere during the 2015 Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 14) in Cannes, France.

Velvet in summer is normally something I would frown upon, but when you’re on a hot streak you roll with it.

Looking ever so elegant and continuing her dramatic approach to dressing for this festival, Julianne stunned wearing a blood-red custom Givenchy gown.

Styled with Chopard jewels and matching velvet pumps, she’s managed to do the impossible by outdoing her opening-ceremony look.

Again I have to ask: where was this dress-confidence during awards season?
