Jennifer Lawrence In Oscar de la Renta - Elle’s 21st Annual Women In Hollywood Celebration

Jennifer Lawrence attended Elle’s 21st annual Women in Hollywood celebration held at the Four Seasons Hotel on Monday (October 20) in Beverly Hills, California.

She also paid homage to the late designer Oscar de la Renta, wearing an ivory corded guipure lace dress from the Spring 2015 collection which was lined, unlike the version we saw on the runway.

This piece is one part reserved and the other oozing romantic femininity. She gave the look an edge with black accessories including a Rodo clutch, waist-cinching belt and Christian Louboutin ‘Valnina’ laser-cut sandals.

There’s something I don’t like about this dress. I think it has something to do with the lining that she added under the dress. I get why she did it but it doesn’t work for me. I also dislike the hair and makeup

She looks very pretty. It’s simple, but lovely.

I prefer this on the runway. The fit is tighter on Jennifer, and the opaque lining very stark. It’s less elegant. I also don’t think it’s the most flattering silhouette on her.

Agree on her hair and makeup not being the best lately.

Also, not sure if she was paying homage to the man – news of Oscar’s passing broke basically as the guests were arriving at the event. A nice sentiment though.

Its a nice look. I am not at all liking her makeup though. I find it strange and shiny and not flattering her beautiful features.

as long as Jlaw stays away from Dior frocks, she’ll be fine. she looks nice

Meh. She’s a great actess, but definitely not a style icon. It’s not a disaster like some of her Dior outings, but it’s rather unimpressive. Maybe I’m just a bit bored with lace dresses. Also the accessories don’t really go with the dress.

She looks great. Pretty dress, nice makeup, great shoes and I can live with the hair.

    Finally, not Dior for once.

It’s amazing how much better she looks the second she stops wearing Dior. This is a lovely dress and great ode to Oscar. I must say though, her hair looks positively horrible.

This is a great look for her. It’s always nice when she’s allowed to step away from Dior for a night.

Quite adorable w/o being too cutesy. I think she totally pulls it off.
