Get The Look: Jessica Pare’s Classic PaleyFest Curls
Jessica Pare’s ethereal waves were styled by LA based hairstylist, Marcus Francis for the PaleyFest 2014 Honouring ‘Mad Men’ event.
Here are his tips on how this classic look can easily be created at home with the same steps and products used on Pare.
Francis says, “On damp hair, mist roots with Suave Volumizing Root Boost Spray.
Once combed through, apply several pumps of Suave Natural Infusion Leave-In Foam, focusing on the mid shaft and ends.” This will add body to tresses and leaves curls feeling soft and weightless.
Francis recommends that you dry hair and smooth strands with a medium size round brush.
“Make a deep side part and using a 3/4″ curling iron, wrap small sections of hair from roots to ends and pin into a pin curl. On both sides brush hair back behind the ear and curl the ends to keep the fullness in the back.”
To lock curls in place, “Use the Touchable Finish Extra Hold Aerosol Hairspray by Suave and let the hair set for 10 minutes in pins before brushing out.
After lightly teasing the top and front brush hair back to blend into the sides.”
“A bobby pin placed vertically behind each ear will secure the hair in place. Smooth out any fly aways with a small amount of the Suave Natural Infusion Awapuhi Strengthening Light Leave-In Cream.”
And voila! You’re instantly a ‘Mad Men’ beauty.
