Get The Look: Kate Hudson’s Glamorous Waves at the Oscars 2014

86th Annual Academy Awards - ArrivalsKate Hudson looked divine while taking to the red carpet at the 2014 Oscars in Atelier Versace on Sunday.

Inspired by both Veronica Lake and Jerry Hall, celeb hairstylist Chris McMillan created a gorgeous, 1940s look. He started with using Living Proof’s Prime Style Extender to seal Kate’s hair and protect it from frizzing in the rain. “[It] was our most important tool for creating a look that would last the whole night.”

He applied this to wet hair and began blow-drying it with a round brush. He gave Kate a deep side part for “a touch of glamour” and used the Living Proof Satin Hair Serum just on the ends for sheen.

To give the ends more bounce, he used a 1-inch curling iron throughout and then brushed through with the Mason Pearson Boar Bristle Brush.

To keep it all together, he spritzed Living Proof Flex Shaping Hairspray all over.
