Michelle Dockery In J. Mendel – 2014 SAG Awards

Michelle Dockery In J. Mendel - 2014 SAG Awards

Michelle Dockery stunned in monochrome at the 2014 SAG Awards, held at The Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, California on Saturday (January 18).

The ‘Downton Abbey’ star and best ensemble nominee debuted her first-ever J. Mendel design, opting for a sleek, black-and-white moment, which she paired with corresponding dual-colour Gianvito Rossi ‘Alina’ pumps.

On the red carpet, she described the dress as tuxedo-inspired, and it certainly had slightly mannish undertones, given its structure and contrasting mock lapels.

However, the plunging neckline and thigh-high slit brought in plenty of sultry, feminine appeal—although I have a feeling the low-cut bodice may turn some of you off this look.

Similar to her ensemble at Entertainment Weekly’s SAG Awards celebration yesterday, she kept her bold entrance nearly bedazzle free, with only a white clutch and petite David Yurman earrings. Her berry-red lip was piercing, and I loved it for that reason.

It was most certainly the va-va-voom accessory here.
