    Lupita blew me away!
Helen Mirren, Lena Headey, Hannah Simone, Claire Danes, and Cate Blanchett round out my favorites.

  2. the ogre January 20, 2014 at 3:36 pm #

    1. Cate Blanchett (Just for bringing something different to the red carpet and looking great in it!)
    2. Amy Adams (Even though I adored her Globes look, this was on another level of awesome!)
    3. Lupita Nyong’o (For being so bold and confident when it comes to colour and variety.)

Honourable mention: Jennifer Lawrence (Long time coming!)

  3. Regina January 20, 2014 at 1:31 pm #

I was going to vote for Anna Gunn but she’s not on the list. Yet Kaley Cuoco is??

    1. Jennifer Lawrence
    2. Lupita Nyong’o
    3. Cate Blanchett
    4. Amy Adams

then there’s everyone else. BTW Kaley Cuoco has no place on a best dressed list!!! What a boring standard dress!

    My top 3 was:
    1) Amy Adams (AMAZING! in my BDOTY top for sure)
    2) Lupita
    3) Emilia Clarke.

I think most of the ladies were very well dressed at this event.
It’s hard for me to say it, but I didn’t like Cate Blanchett in Givenchy. That dress is just awkward and looks cheap, although Cate looks wonderful (and the make-up is perfect).

    1. Lupita
    2. Claire
    3. Jennifer

You didn’t include her but Sophie Turner in Dolce & Gabbana was definitely one of the best dressed of the evening, with such a beautiful, age-appropriate, event-appropiate gown that also suited her perfectly.

I wish Emma Thompson was on the list! And I think Julie Bowen was more interesting than Kaley Cuoco.

But for me it’s a really hard pick between Lupita and Cate.

  8. Marybeth January 20, 2014 at 2:35 am #

I heartily join the chorus: LUPITA!
Amy Adams and Jennifer Lawrence are runners-up for me.

  9. Alex January 20, 2014 at 2:18 am #

    Lupita followed by Cate.
    That blue is absolutely electric!

  10. Rosanna January 20, 2014 at 1:30 am #

    1. Lupita
    2. Amy
    3. Emilia

  11. Christine January 20, 2014 at 12:23 am #

Lupita hands down! That is going on my BDOTY list.

  12. Anne Gallagher January 19, 2014 at 11:43 pm #

Hail Queen Lupita! The new queen of the red carpet. Also props to Amy Adams, Lena Headey and Emilia Clarke.

  13. Prian January 19, 2014 at 11:00 pm #

Wow, for such an award ceremony, this is a tad boring. Nothing really shakes me, of course except Lupita and Amy, though

  14. Yeliz January 19, 2014 at 10:54 pm #

    1. Lupita
    2. Amy
    3. Jennifer
    4. Hannah

  15. Moxie January 19, 2014 at 10:46 pm #

    First – Lupita
    Second – Amy
Third – Tie between J-Law and Queen Cate

amy adams for me and runner up is lupita.

    • magdalena January 20, 2014 at 12:52 am #

      The same for me.

      • chicshrieks January 20, 2014 at 8:02 am #

Same for me too. They’ve both been extremely consistent this awards season.

  17. TL January 19, 2014 at 9:47 pm #

Lupita and Amy are my favorites, followed by Helen Mirren and Emilia Clarke

  18. Fromchi-town January 19, 2014 at 9:43 pm #

Lupita for me… Followed closely by Amy. These two have been killing it so far. But Lupita’s look was her best one so far and a definite contender for BDOTY. Cannot wait to see them on the Oscar’s red carpet.

  19. Nat39 January 19, 2014 at 9:37 pm #

Lupita, followed by Amy. Nice to see consistency from these two. And I thought Cate was absolutely divine, loved that controversial look, and her beauty look was sublime, easily one of my top faves.

A special shoutout to Sarah Hyland, she nailed her sweet yet modern look, one of the best of the night for me.

The worst dressed – Kerry Washington who took “feature – not conceal the baby bump” approach too far.

    • Marybeth January 20, 2014 at 2:44 am #

Oh yes, I’m glad you brought up Sarah Hyland, though she did not make the poll. I usually do not particularly care for her style but this time she hit it out of the park.

  20. SilentVisitor January 19, 2014 at 9:19 pm #

    Best dressed: Lupita
    Runner-up: Amy
    Honorable mention: Cate

  21. alex January 19, 2014 at 9:17 pm #

no Helen Mirren? that’s the biggest shock for me. I loved her look!

  22. Kathryn January 19, 2014 at 9:07 pm #

Amy and Lupita were neck and neck for me again! We definitely need a new Best of The Year category for these two “Best Dressed Award Season.” They are getting better and better can’t wait for Oscar night!

    • Serenity January 20, 2014 at 3:00 am #

Me too-I had SUCH a hard time deciding. In the end I went with Amy simply because her hair was better for me. But the dresses, makeup, shoes, jewelry, and presence were all equally terrific.
