Zoe Kravitz In Christian Dior Couture – 2017 Emmy Awards

Tessa Thompson wasn’t the only one chasing rainbows at the 2017 Emmy Awards once Zoe Kravitz stepped onto the red carpet on Sunday (September 17) in LA.

She really brought out a full array of hues in this Christian Dior Fall 2017 Couture rainbow feather dress that was uncharacteristically colourful for the actress who generally opts for shades of black and white.

Like Tessa’s look, I found this one to convey a magical sense of fancifulness which was only enhanced by the feathered whimsy—and the removal of the runway’s original patchwork coat which allowed the design to really come to life.

For that reason, the diamond necklace wasn’t all that necessary.

Were you as enchanted as I by her bird-of-paradise look?

Elisabeth Moss In Atelier Prabal Gurung – 2017 Emmy Awards

Elisabeth Moss has been attending (and has been nominated) for Emmys over the last few years. Once again nominated, the actress attended the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday night (September 17).

At first glance, I felt underwhelmed. In my opinion, the above-the-ankle Atelier Prabal Gurung dress didn’t do enough for her apart from show off her Olgana Paris shoes.

While not all nominees need to shout with sequins and feathers, I felt there needed to be something more impactful for the actress who is nominated for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for ‘The Handmaid’s Tale.’

Not to be missed was the ACLU ribbon attached to her Christian Louboutin ‘Vanite’ clutch which is meant to encourage Congress to pass a “clean” Dream Act, and has been spotted on numerous stars at the last few major red carpets, including Elisabeth’s costar Alexis Bedel.

Forevermark completed her look.

Laura Dern In Proenza Schouler – 2017 Emmy Awards

Laura Dern attended the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17) in Los Angeles.

The ‘Big Little Lies’ actress wore a Proenza Schouler Spring 2018 gown with stunning details.

This one is a fashion-lovers dream. The detailing is such that a photo really doesn’t do it justice. Of course, the edit from the runway makes sense for the real world appearance–the additional cut-out wouldn’t be appropriate, and Ms. Dern is always the picture of appropriate!

My only complaint here is her shoes–they seem really mundane for such a striking gown, but that aside, I think this look is a total dream!

Lea Michele In Elie Saab – 2017 Emmy Awards

Lea Michele has experimented with a variety of silhouettes and colours at past Emmy Awards, but drama remains constant—and there was no shortage of it at the 2017 Emmys on Sunday (September 17) in LA.

Working every inch of her Elie Saab Fall 2017 gown, she showed off the frock’s shimmering pleated skirt and side pockets to full effect.

The coordinating plum belt might have sometimes gotten lost amidst the yards of dazzling fabric, but the actress’s Lorraine Schwartz multicoloured earrings were one detail that I couldn’t ignore. The shot of green was sublime.

Uzo Aduba In Sally LaPointe – 2017 Emmy Awards

Uzo Aduba is up for Best Supporting Actress for ‘Orange Is the New Black’ at the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17) in LA.

There may be a time we remember Uzo to traverse the more traditional side of glamour, but not with this shiny Sally LaPointe two-piece sequin dress that was custom-made—clearly to celebrate the décolletage area, even if I’m not sure the silhouette was the most flattering option for her.

Regardless, I had to smile at seeing the look, as she echoed the voluptuousness of the girls with her amazing hair. But, I missed the sophisticated elegance here that Uzo wears so well.

Lorraine Schwartz jewels completed the ensemble—not that anyone was really paying attention to them.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Chanel Couture – 2017 Emmy Awards

Tracee Ellis Ross sparkled her way down the red carpet of the 2017 Emmy Awards on Sunday (September 17) in Los Angeles.

The ‘Blackish’ star wore a stunning Chanel Spring 2017 Couture gown with Irene Neuwirth jewels.

This is a total show-stopper in my book. The unexpected cut, the on-trend balloon sleeves and those feathers! Tracee always approaches fashion with such mirth and class, and this is just one more example.

I know it’s early to say, but this one may be my favorite of the night! Are you as crazy for it as I am?
