2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party Red Carpet Roundup

Vanity Fair Party

Here is an quick roundup from the 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party, which took place on Sunday (February 22).

Jane Fonda: The actress shows us that Zuhair Murad doesn’t always spell tacky. This Spring 2015 Couture jumpsuit is divine and she is working it like no other. Kudos to her. Jimmy Choo ‘Creole’ pumps and a Rauwolf clutch accessorized her look.

Regina King: This Nicolas Jebran gown won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I love the artful colours on this design. I don’t, however, like the illusion neckline. Not close enough to her skin tone.

Leslie Mann: Like Naomi Watts, Leslie went the white suiting route, layering up with a selection of gold Neil Lane jewels the look probably didn’t really require so much of.

Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture – 2015 Vanity Fair Oscar Party

Keira Knightley In Valentino Couture - 2015 Vanity Fair Party

Keira Knightley headed to the 2015 Vanity Fair Party at Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts last night (February 22) in Beverly Hills, California after the big award show .

For her second look of the night, she chose to wear a second gown from the Valentino Spring 2015 Couture collection. And while the first look was gauzy, floral and feminine, for her after-hours gown, she went for the complete opposite.

She kept her hair and makeup the same–simple and unassuming.

The dark, velvet material is rich and luxe, but that’s about all I can say here.

While editing out the open side-panels of the dress make sense for her pregnant figure, in so doing, she’s taken away all the interest of the gown, since her long hair hides all that is left of the winged bodice design.

There is certainly no wow factor here, unfortunately.

Keira Knightley was also in attendance at the 2015 Oscars, held at the Dolby Theatre on Sunday (February 22) in Hollywood, California.

Following a familiar bohemian vibe, the actress’s Valentino Spring 2015 Couture confection was very much a Keira gown.

The smocked bodice and wispy layered chiffon skirt were whimsically embroidered with a garden of needlepoint floral and swooping, cursive phrases; it was a softly gracious silhouette for her burgeoning baby bump.

While she didn’t wear Chanel, she did style the look with Chanel Fine Jewelry, also crowning her wavy locks with an embellished headband.

At first I wasn’t drawn to the nude colouring against her alabaster skin, but the poetic, dream-like quality of the gown won me over.

Yay or nay?

Marion Cotillard In Valentino – 2015 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Marion Cotillard In Valentino - 2015 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Having just stepped off a plane from Paris where she attended the 2015 César Film Awards the night before, Marion Cotillard narrowly missed the red carpet event for the 2015 Film Independent Spirit Awards, hosted at Santa Monica Beach in Santa Monica, California on Saturday (February 21).

Appearing not to suffering from jet-lag, the French actress looked beautiful wearing a galactic inspired look from Valentino’s Pre-Fall 2015 collection which was punchy and full of vitality which was perfect for this awards ceremony.

I love the airiness of the boho-style maxi skirt, however, the sweater for a beach event seemed a bit much but I loved the look from head-to-toe regardless.

The majority of you didn’t like her Dior Couture shuttlecock dress, so how does this one fare?

Elle Fanning In Valentino – 8th Annual Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party

Elle Fanning In Valentino - 8th Annual Women In Film Pre-Oscar Cocktail Party

Elle Fanning attended the 8th annual Women In Film pre-Oscar cocktail party held at HYDE Sunset: Kitchen + Cocktails on Friday (February 20) in West Hollywood, California.

Confidently displaying an air of whimsical spirit, I not only love her Valentino Spring 2015 dress for its summery quintuple-toned colour palette and also for the fairytale finish courtesy of the lighter-than-air ruffles.

Delicate jewels and Bionda Castana lemon pumps rounded out this gorgeous look.

Margot Robbie In Marni & Valentino – Sanremo 2015

Margot Robbie In Marni & Valentino - Sanremo 2015

Will Smith and Margot Robbie continued to promote their new movie ‘Focus’ in Sanremo, Italy, on Valentine’s Day (February 14).

Sanremo 2015 Day 3 Photocall: During the 65th Festival della Canzone Italiana 2015 at Teatro Ariston they attended a photocall, with Will wearing a mix of smart-casual pieces that, besides the shoes, looked like golfing gear, while Margot wore a Marni Resort 2015 look with black Brian Atwood ‘Besame’ pumps. The skirt I can get on board with, but the top would’ve fared better for me without the sheer sleeves.

Sanremo 2015 Closing Night: The actors opted for dark colours for their after-dark looks later that same evening. He looked handsome in Armani, while she forced me to lower my expectations for this promo tour once again, wearing perhaps one of her least flattering looks. It’s almost hard to believe that this navy sheer and velvet gown hails from the Valentino Spring 2015 collection. I don’t think anything – belt or a different colour – would’ve helped this. This dress is doing her zero favours.

Which look, if any, do you like?
