Celebrities in Valentino for Le Grand Dîner Du Louvre
Alessandro Michele dressed three celebrities for Le Grand Dîner du Louvre last night in Paris, and considering how Doechii delivered a BDOTY worthy performance in Valentino Haute Couture at last year’s event, these guests had big shoes to fill.

Black Tie With An Artistic Twist
Brand ambassador Sombr wore a custom Valentino look designed by Alessandro Michele. I love how the artistic embroidery of the intricate and richly textured jacket anchors the look, neatly balancing Michele’s maximalist instincts with sharp tailoring to create a black tie ensemble that feels true to Sombr’s style personality.

A Look Revisited
You will instantly recognise Alexa Chung’s Valentino Spring 2026 look from the Fireflies collection, as we first saw it on Tyla during Haute Couture Fashion Week. Tyla made the look her own by removing the trousers, while Alexa presents the full runway interpretation. And I have to say, both approaches work for each wearer. On Tyla, removing the trousers shifted the focus to the ornate bodice and made the look feel performance ready, which suits her dynamic red carpet energy. For Alexa, the trousers feel entirely in line with her aesthetic. They reinforce the relaxed, slightly androgynous elegance she has occasionally leans into.

No The First Time, Heck No The Second Time
I didn’t love this Valentino Fall 2025 gown when Odessa Young wore it to the Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere London premiere last October, and I am even less convinced by its reappearance on Aya Nakamura. The presentation an the styling does little to pull the disjointed elements together.
It seems like this was one of those nights where familiar looks kept resurfacing rather than delivering something new.
