Ruth Crilly In Christian Dior - ‘The Search’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Ruth Crilly attended ‘The Search’ premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 21) in Cannes, France.

The model wore a Christian Dior Spring 2014 dress featuring a pale-blue-metallic twisted silk bodice and white calf-length pencil skirt.

While I like the metallic-blue Dior pumps, the red ombre clutch is a head-scratcher. Not only does it dominate the look, but it doesn’t complement it.

Did she just pick it up before she left for the premiere?

You have to try on the clutch before you leave the house… everyone knows that, right?

You may remember that Claire Danes wore this same dress back in January.

Marion Cotillard In Christian Dior Couture - 'Two Days, One Night' ('Deux Jours, Une Nuit') Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Marion Cotillard attended the ‘Two Days, One Night’ (Deux Jours, Une Nuit) premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this evening (May 20) in Cannes, France.

*Le sigh*… Where do I start?

While I like that she opted for something funkier and an unexpected choice from Christian Dior’s Spring 2014 Couture collection, I am just not a fan of those shoes. That’s two bad pair of shoes in one day.

The white, tiered dress with a rise-and-fall hemline accented with blue sequin embroidery at the back was a great way to shake up her style, but the shoes lack the finesse to complement the look.

Adding yet more funk-appeal, she styled her hair into a 40s-esque updo, with a Chopard diamond-encrusted necklace completing her look.

From the ankle up, or not at all?

Suki Waterhouse In Christian Dior - ‘The Homesman’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Suki Waterhouse attended ‘The Homesman’ premiere during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival on Sunday (May 18) in Cannes, France following several party appearances.

Dressed in Dior, the British model looks very statuesque in her lilac tiered strapless gown.

As you know, I prefer sandals over pumps, and that would very much apply here as they would’ve helped elongate her further.

With her hair swept back she was able to showcase her gorgeous Chopard ‘Peacock Feathers’ earrings. She also styled her look with a Chopard ring from the ‘Temptations’ collection.

Jennifer Lawrence In Christian Dior - Cannes Film Festival Parties

Jennifer Lawrence wore two more Dior looks yesterday evening (May 17) during Cannes Film Festival following her arrival and photocall earlier in the day.

Vanity Fair & Armani Party: Jennifer’s first look of the evening was a Christian Dior Spring 2014 Couture black silk jumpsuit styled with a Roger Vivier ‘Papillon’ clutch, gold metal Dior belt, My Dior gold cuff and yet more Dior Fine Jewellery pieces. I just love the Brian Atwood gold studded ‘Alis’ pumps, which were the perfect finishing touch to the black-gold theme.

‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ Party: After a busy day of photocalls and press conferences, Jennifer attended a party held in honour of the movie with her castmates. The actress wore a black chiffon Dior tank dress over blue crepe mini dress, giving the look a sultry, layered effect. Those who are over the sheer trend may just roll their eyes at this one, but what really popped here were her Irene Neuwirth emerald drop earrings. Her Roger Vivier ‘Papillon’ clutch completed her look again.

Jennifer Lawrence In Christian Dior Couture - ‘The Hunger Games Mockingjay Part 1' Cannes Photocall

Jennifer Lawrence attended ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1’ photocall during the 67th Annual Cannes Film Festival this afternoon (May 17) in Cannes, France.

Wearing her second Dior look of the day, the actress wore a Spring 2014 Couture two-piece consisting of a white A-line crop top featuring a landscape print with an A-line skirt marrying sharp lines and softness.

I love the paillettes details on the look, which adds to the fresh, clean appeal.

Silver metallic Christian Louboutin pumps, Ana Khouri yellow-gold and diamond pearl Charlotte ring, and triangle-shaped Irene Neuwirth earrings completed her look.

I was tempted to say this look was too twee for her, but realised that this was because she usually dresses too old for her age.

It’s refreshing to see her in something so youthful.
