Front Row at Dior Spring 2026 Haute Couture

Jonathan Anderson unveiled his first Haute Couture collection for Dior, grounding the house’s heritage in nature-led references and exceptional craftsmanship. Floral sculpture and architectural silhouettes shaped the collection, balancing technical precision with a modern sensibility while remaining firmly rooted in Dior’s couture language.

I’m genuinely excited to see this collection on the red carpet, particularly on ambassadors like Jennifer Lawrence and Natalie Portman. Natalie, especially, should have her eye on Look 44, the pink floral sculpture mini dress.

Questioning The Sleeves

Anya Taylor-Joy is always the first person I look for in the front row, and I know she will have the most fun with this collection. With two major press tours coming up for The Super Mario Galaxy Movie in April and Dune: Part Three in December, there is so much opportunity for her and this new Spring 2026 Haute Couture collection. Do I like the shearling sleeves on this Dior Fall 2026 coat? No. It looks like a dog that got caught in the rain. But I’m trying to overlook it.

Landed Better

Jennifer Lawrence’s Dior Fall 2026 coat worked better for me, mostly because the shearling is not the main focal point of the look. Her hand positioning, and the brown hue soften its impact. The vibe feels like Jennifer grabbing lunch in the West Village with friends, I really like the laidback back charm. Some will ask, “Where is the Dior of it all?” and I’d say you’re looking at it. This is Jonathan Anderson’s Dior. The man who lives in jeans, loves jeans.

Feels Like Greta Lee

There are times when Greta Lee hasn’t quite delivered in Dior. Her Tron: Ares LA premiere look is still baffling to me. But this look, straight from the Dior Fall 2026 menswear collection, is much easier to sell. It taps into the offbeat sensibility she built her personal style identity on. It’s not polished, it’s a little dishevelled, and that’s why it works.

Still In Her All-Black Era

Rihanna is firmly in her all-black era, and I really wish she had been part of the official photocall so we could have seen this Dior look in more detail. The black coat layered over a black fishnet and tulle dress had a moody, mysterious presence, which I guess is perfect for someone of Rihanna’s star power. Briony Raymond jewels completed the look.

Angles Matter

We don’t see Taylor Russell often, but when she does step out, it’s usually in support of her friend and collaborator Jonathan Anderson. She wore a Dior Fall 2026 embroidered dress which, much like Jessie Buckley’s Critics’ Choice Awards look, benefits from specific angles and posture to avoid appearing lopsided. Footwear should have been better.

Draped With Precision

I think Laetitia Casta’s version of this Dior draped silhouette is the best we have seen so far in this black bustier dress from the Pre-Fall 2026 collection. I’m impressed that there isn’t a single crease anywhere. Anderson has clearly learnt from Alba Rohrwacher’s Venice outing, where the fabric worked against her rather than with her.

Dior Detour

I have to say that I’m not really the biggest fan of this jet-black hair on Alexa Chung. It feels too moody for her. That said, perhaps a more gothic direction is exactly what she’s leaning into, because this Dior Spring 2026 cape certainly supports that shift. I’m not fully convinced, but I can at least see the intention behind it.

Mood Over Moment

I’m fully buying into Parker Posey’s attitude here. That said, I wish she had been given a stronger Dior look overall. Still, the trench coat paired with the international woman-of-mystery energy works for me.

Drama in Black and White

Justin Vivian Bond is serving Cruella de Vil in the chicest way possible. This Dior Pre-Fall 2026 houndstooth coat is already a statement, but the styling fully commits to the story, turning it into a moment rather than a straight lift from the lookbook. I’m obsessed.

Passing

Monica Barbaro served ladylike elegance in Dior Pre-Fall 2026. Luckily the floral embellishments stopped the look from fading into the background. I’m still waiting for a wow Dior moment from her.

Familiar, but still effective

I feel like we’ve seen Natalia Vodianova’s Dior Spring 2026 jacket with the bow detail a few times now, but that might just be me spending far too much time on Vogue.com. The shoes might be questionable, but I’m glad to see her ditch the denim skirt for a black silk one.

A New Chapter Loading

Jason Bolden is collecting Dior ambassadors like infinity stones. First Lakeith Stanfield, now Josh O’Connor. Considering some of you felt Josh’s style has been stuck on a loop, this next chapter could be exactly what’s needed to move him beyond private-school-uniform tailoring. I’m excited about this.
