Erin Doherty Wore Dior To The London Premiere of ‘A Thousand Blows’
Erin Doherty attended the global premiere of A Thousand Blows at the Curzon Mayfair in London, and for once, I’m thankful the photographer caught her from the side. This isn’t a front-first kind of look — it’s a slow-burn reveal, with the drama unfolding quietly from behind.

Her Dior Spring 2026 dress initially reads as restrained from the front: a black, long-sleeved silhouette with a high neckline that feels almost monastic in its simplicity. But turn to the side and the story changes entirely.
If you’re anything like me, this look will instantly bring Rooney Mara to mind, as that dark, poetic, introspective energy is inescapable — but on Erin it works perfectly for the bruised, period-driven world of A Thousand Blows. The severity of the look feels in direct conversation with the tone of the series. It’s sombre and quietly arresting without leaning too far into gothic cliché.
What I especially appreciate is the choice of fabric. We so often see premieres flooded with sheer panels and summer-leaning gowns, regardless of season. This look, with its heavier construction and enveloping shape, feels practical for a London winter night while still delivering intrigue.
You may remember that Tracee Ellis Ross wore a runway look with a similar lace back detail to the Being Eddie LA premiere last month, but where Tracee’s version felt bold and theatrical, Erin’s feels restrained and introspective. Same design language, entirely different emotional register.
The series returns exclusively to Disney+ and Hulu on 9 January 2026.
