Sasha Pieterse In Vera Wang - 2014 Teen Choice Awards

Sasha Pieterse attended the 2014 Teen Choice Awards held at The Shrine Auditorium on Sunday (August 10) in Los Angeles, California.

The actress wore a Vera Wang Resort 2015 white and grey checked dress accented with a black waistband.

I think I like her accessories more than the dress, with Oscar Tiye ‘Jamila’ strappy white sandals and an Emm Kuo ‘Bernandins’ mother of pearl clutch standing out, with additional jewels by Graziela Gems and EF Collection.

A wavy faux bob rounded out her look.

Odeya Rush In Monique Lhuillier - 2014 Teen Choice Awards

Odeya Rush attended the 2014 Teen Choice Awards held at The Shrine Auditorium on Sunday (August 10) in Los Angeles, California.

The new kid on the rise, both in professional and style terms, wore her favourite designer, Monique Lhuillier, selecting yet another look from the designer’s Resort 2015 collection.

Going against the crop-top-and-mini-skirt trend, the actress wore a red strapless tea-length dress enhanced with a lace bodice and finished with a pleated hi-lo skirt in a full shape, which she styled with champagne-coloured Louboutins.

Looking at the first looks at this event, some might say that Odeya may have been slightly overdressed, and while I agree this could’ve been saved for a premiere, this is her best look so far. She looks very sophisticated, adding a touch of glamour to the event. What’s so wrong with that?

Jane Levy In Reem Acra - 'About Alex' LA Premiere

Jane Levy joined co-star Aubrey Plaza on the red carpet at the Arclight Theatre on Wednesday (August 6) in Los Angeles, California for the premiere of ‘About Alex’.

The actress wore a Reem Acra Spring 2014 tiered red dress cut from lightweight chiffon.

This is such an elegant, modern choice for a warm summer’s evening, cleanly styled with gold strappy sandals to complement the gold neckline.

Nina Dobrev In Zuhair Murad - 'Let's Be Cops' LA Premiere

Nina Dobrev attended the ‘Let’s Be Cops’ LA premiere held at the ArcLight Hollywood on Thursday (August 7) in Hollywood, California.

The actress continued her rich vein of form wearing a Zuhair Murad Resort 2015 A-line mini dress enriched with tribal beaded details adding vivid colour to this red carpet look.

With her glossy brunette locks swept back off her shoulders, she opted for Ferragamo accessories including a black and gold clutch and suede ankle-tie pumps, with a selection of Tiffany jewels rounding out her look.

I absolutely love this, but I still feel her Naeem Khan look on ‘Jimmy Fallon’ was her best this week.

Which of Nina’s looks would you like to see up for BDOTW?

Marion Cotillard In Christian Dior - 'Two Days, One Night

Marion Cotillard walked the red carpet at the ‘Two Days, One Night’ London premiere, hosted at Somerset House in England on Thursday (August 7).

The French actress was unsurprisingly dressed in Christian Dior with this LBD hailing from the Fall 2014 collection.

The draped, cold-shoulder silhouette with floral embellishment radiated with soft elegance—even more subtle given that the design was missing the sassier corset-inspired lacing.

Dior metal-accented statement heels added a bit of edge, while a wispy updo and berry lip were quiet finishes for this sophisticated yet pretty look.

Michelle Obama In Prabal Gurung - US African Leaders Summit

Michelle Obama made a bright showing at a White House state dinner, hosted by President Obama for African leaders on Tuesday (August 5),

She once again pledged allegiance to her love of Prabal Gurung, wearing a look from the Nepalese designer’s Resort 2013 collection.

The radiant canary-yellow, silk chiffon frock with ruffle straps was shortened to tea length and featured a modified bodice from the lookbook, transforming the original gown into a more event-appropriate dress.

She emboldened the bold, nearly neon ensemble even more with the addition of an armful of bangles, statement earrings and the debut of a trendy, sleek topknot.

Her modest metallic pumps were the most standard piece of this look—not that anyone was paying attention to her shoes.

Did she maintain her first lady of fashion title here?
