Nikki Reed In Sophie Theallet – ‘Bayou With Love’ Jewelry Launch

Nikki Reed and Dell recently announced a jewelry line, ‘Bayou With Love,’ made from recycled tech on Tuesday (January 9) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

To launch the new eco-line, she looked to the Sophie Theallet Spring 2016 archives for her look.

Intentionally or not, the look resonated with a certain earthy chicness, given its colour palette along with the pebbled patterning of the sheer top and the striations of the skirt.

The choice of the similarly patterned bra was smart here, as it melded within the print of the top without appearing too bare.

Dame Helen Mirren In Prabal Gurung – ‘The Leisure Seeker’ LA Premiere

Dame Helen Mirren graced the red carpet at ‘The Leisure Seeker’ LA premiere on Tuesday (January 9).

The actress is known for pulling off fashion trends with grace and ease. This time, she looked resplendent in a Prabal Gurung Fall 2017 look.

If you’re experiencing a sense of déjà vu, it was previously worn by Laura Haddock and Nina Dobrev.

Each put their own interpretations on the look. In this case, Helen’s delicate bow belt enhanced the charm of the ruffles while showcasing her figure.

The black clutch and jewellery created a harmonious finish.

Tracee Ellis Ross In Proenza Schouler & Rosetta Getty – W Magazine “It Girl” Luncheon & TCA Winter Press Tour

Tracee Ellis Ross continues to delight and surprise on the red carpet. First, she participated in the W Magazine “It Girl” luncheon on Saturday (January 6) in Los Angeles. On Monday (January 8), she stepped out to celebrate the TCA Winter Press Tour 2018.

W Magazine “It Girl” Luncheon: The ‘Black-ish’ star certainly embodied the spirit of an It Girl with her Proenza Schouler Spring 2018 look. The soft coral ruffles of the knitted separates were toughened up by the black bra top. It was a bold statement, but her decorative black sandals brought everything together.

TCA Winter Press Tour: The actress showcased separates again, but she went for a more puritan approach with her Rosetta Getty Pre-Fall 2018 look. She enlivened the black and white number with golden yellow shoes and bold drop earrings. Never forgetting about beauty, she opted for a sleek updo to showcase her accessories.

Sally Hawkins In Edeline Lee – ‘Paddington 2’ LA Premiere

Before participating in the Golden Globes black-out, Sally Hawkins wore rich red at the ‘Paddington 2’ LA premiere on Saturday (January 6).

The actress looked sophisticated in an Edeline Lee Fall 2017 dress. The dolman sleeves had a graceful ease that complemented the flared skirt.

The contrasting blue belt buckle was a playful touch, but I was pleased to see that she opted out of wearing one blue shoe, like in the lookbook.

Her red clutch and the oversized sunglasses added some Jackie O flair to the style.

Julianna Margulies In Thom Browne – The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala

Julianna Margulies was in attendance at the 2018 The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala on Tuesday (January 9) in New York City, alongside Saoirse Ronan and Lupita Nyong’o.

Black is one of the actress’s signatures so I wasn’t surprised to see that she opted for this Thom Browne Resort 2018 dress.

She removed the layers from the lookbook so the feminine silhouette and the surprise rainbow stripes on the uneven hem didn’t get lost.

The tiny trim was the only colourful addition as she accessorized with a black clutch and cut-out heels.

It was simple, chic and timeless.

Lupita Nyong’o In Balmain – The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala

Lupita Nyong’o put on a twinkling display at the 2018 The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala on Tuesday (January 9) in New York City, joining Gal Gadot and Greta Gerwig.

I normally love the actress for her joyful use of colour, but these Balmain Pre-Fall 2018 separates were dazzling.

The designer’s signature sharp shoulders with button detailing toughened up the fitted crop and maxi skirt.

Removing the bolder accessories from the lookbook gave the ensemble a sleek finish and put more of an emphasis on the surface detailing.

Dana Rebecca Designs earrings and her flowing updo completed the look brilliantly.

Greta Gerwig In Gucci – The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala

Just when I had started to believe Greta Gerwig had taken the minimalist path, she goes for maximalism in Gucci at the 2018 The National Board Of Review Annual Awards Gala on Tuesday (January 9) in New York City.

The ‘Lady Bird’ actress stole the spotlight and ensured dazzling entrance in her Spring 2018 rose-gold sequin dress.

I love how the dress was able to flourish with her simple black Gianvito Rossi pumps and Cartier jewels, and how the silhouette was tempered with a black waistband.

While I’m embracing the sharp change in direction, I’m not so sure this will go down too well with the majority; especially when so many of you disliked a similar dress Cate Blanchett wore from this same collection.
