Miley Cyrus In Balmain - 2013 Billboard Music Awards
Miley Cyrus looked like the most glam race-car-driver ever at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards tonight, hosted by Tracy Morgan at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The entertainer skipped out on the gown memo and marched to the beat of her own flashy fashion drum in this power jumpsuit from the Balmain Spring 2013 collection.

Featuring glittery black-and-silver harlequin checks, overlaid with lacy basketry-inspired embroidery, this look was bold, brash and had the level of bravura that we’ve come to expect with the pompadour-flaunting starlet.

Even with the ’90s-era extravagance, I still found myself fascinated by this over-the-top moment. I almost wish Miley had taken it all the way by wearing the runway’s hula hoop earrings.

That platinum quiff and a deep scarlet lip completed the sporty glamazon-rocker effect.

Emmy Rossum In Zuhair Murad - 2013 Billboard Music Awards

A standing ovation is already in order for Emmy Rossum who attended the 2013 Billboard Music Awards tonight at Las Vegas’s MGM Grand Garden Arena.

The actress just about shut down the show’s blue carpet, when she came on the scene in her black Zuhair Murad stunner from the Fall 2013 collection.

This is how to work that seemingly ubiquitous see-through trend in all the right ways.

Showing just enough skin to be dangerous with its refined keyhole cutout and transparent polka-dot tulle, the long-sleeve, mermaid-silhouette gown conveyed high-glamour—and just a touch of elegant goth—at its finest.

A fantastic pair of pendant earrings were all that was really needed in the accessories department, while Emmy’s loosely upswept ‘do and mauve-y nude makeup were an unexpectedly refreshing finish that I preferred to a standard red lip.

Jennifer Nettles In Edition by Georges Chakra - 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Jennifer Nettles returned to the red (ahem, blue) carpet of the 2013 Billboard Music Awards, hosted this evening at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

For her presenter duties, the Sugarland singer and new mom selected an Edition by Georges Chakra Spring 2013 gown.

This figure-hugging, cotton-candy-pink creation probably would not have been my first pick for her to make her svelte and glowing return. The gown’s pastel hue is a hard one to manage and, when photographed, it gave off a satin sheen that I didn’t love.

As for the glitzy sequin embellishment, it all translated as a bit too garish for my taste. Actually, it sent me straight to pageant-land.

A Swarovski clutch, Casadei heels and gorgeous Norman Silverman chunky statement rings and earrings provided a final sparkling flourish.

Jennifer Morrison In Kristian Aadnevik - 2013 Billboard Music Awards I could barely believe my eyes when I saw Jennifer Morrison take to the ‘blue’ carpet at the 2013 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas tonight.

The ‘Once Upon a Time’ actress flaunted her toned bod, leaving little to the imagination in a Kristian Aadnevik Fall 2013 sheer corset gown (can we call it a gown?).

Seemingly plucked straight from the boudoir to Billboard, this lingerie-inspired design certainly fits the sexy-siren bill that we knew would be a star of this Vegas show. But I wouldn’t have guessed Jennifer would be wearing it.

What shall we call this see-through moment… Sultry Snow White; Racy Rapunzel; Scandalous Cinderella?

Let’s call it 50 shades of too revealing—especially from the back side. It’s a look better suited for the stage.

Long wavy locks and a hot-pink lip were the standard sexy beauty choices, while minimal jewels and a patent Edie Parker clutch completed the effect—not that anyone was looking at her accessories.

Does this outfit leave you happily-ever-after, or was this dark fairytale a flop?

Selena Gomez In Atelier Versace - 2013 Billboard Music Awards

Selena Gomez turned up the volume of the 2013 Billboard Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada before the performances even started.

After taking a break from Atelier Versace, which she flaunted a good many times earlier this year, the singer-actress went back to the rock-star design house tonight, donning a look from the Spring 2013 collection.

The slit-to-there white gown, ripped through with peek-a-boo illusion paneling, had sexiness in spades. (Perhaps she had a certain Billboard boy—cough, Justin Bieber, cough—in mind.)

But it also packed some fun into its sexy appeal, as it was edged in neon piping that reminded me of glow sticks—couture ones, of course.

Metallic Jimmy Choo ‘Malin’ sandals didn’t bring the same colourful punch as the runway shoe. But, similar to the catwalk model, Selena flaunted smouldering, sooty eyes, which put a darker spin on this Rainbow Brite look and contrasted with her more juvenile bubblegum-pink lippie and messy, long ponytail.

Selena has lately been showing us her all-grown-up sartorial side. Do you like her va-va-voom return to Versace?

Kirsten Dunst In Michael van der Ham - 'Inside Llewyn Davis' Cannes Film Festival Premiere

Kirsten Dunst attended the ‘Inside Llewyn Davis’ premiere during Cannes Film Festival this evening in support of her beau Garrett Hedlund.

I’m going to use this occasion to announce that I don’t really get the hoopla when it comes to Kirsten’s style.

She has had some great red carpet moments, but this should not count as one of them.

I think even Jane Fonda at 75-years-old would stay she’s too young to wear this black sheer Michael van der Ham Fall 2013 gown with black and purple velvet appliqués and white lace embroidery.

This is far too frumpy for my liking. Even for someone who is attending as a plus one.
