Sofia Carson In J. Mendel – ‘Descendants 2’ Sao Paulo Premiere

Sofia Carson and J. Mendel ballgowns continue to be a match made in fashion heaven as they provided a sublimely romantic vision on the red carpet for the ‘Descendants 2’ premiere in Sao Paulo, Brazil on Wednesday (August 16).

Joining co-star Dove Cameron, some might think this dramatic gown is too overwhelming or too mature for the young star, but I think she carries the look with great aplomb.

Big gowns for big movie premieres is what I always want to see, so Sofia – with her signature red lip – totally nailed this look for me.

Valorie Curry In Marchesa Notte – ‘The Tick’ New York Premiere

Valorie Curry was in high spirits for ‘The Tick’ New York premiere on Wednesdays (August 16) wearing a Marcesha Notte Fall 2017 dress.

Dialling down the seductive mood, the embellished floral skirt is the most eye-catching element of this look.

Supported by a maroon velvet clutch and strappy sandals, I wanted to love this look but overall it feels a little flat.

Hannah Murray In Erdem – ‘Detroit’ London Premiere

The ‘Detroit’ premiere took place in London on Wednesday (August 16), with Hannah Murray taking to the red carpet.

Looking every inch an English rose, the actress wore an Erdem Pre-Fall 2017 suit.

All-over floral prints are traditionally hard to pull off for even for the savviest fashion mavens, but I love the modern cut of this particular suit.

Letting the suit speak for itself with neutral makeup and simple pumps works in Hannah’s favour.

My only issue with is that the trousers didn’t appear to fit, or sit so well.

Lake Bell In Bottega Veneta – ‘Shot Caller’ LA Screening

Lake Bell attended the screening of ‘Shot Caller’ on Tuesday (August 15) in LA, serving up a 40s style dress from Bottega Veneta’s Fall 2017 collection.

The desert-rose hue is beautiful on Lake, as is the silhouette of the dress which presents a glamorous feminine look with structured polish.

My issue is her hair. The ponytail feels a bit lazy for such a classic look.

A chic chignon sans bangs would’ve been preferred.

Gunmetal accessories including Nicholas Kirkwood ‘Penelope’ pearl sandals provided the finishing touches.

Mandy Moore In Valentino – ‘This is Us’ FYC event

With a series of hit-and-miss looks lately, Mandy Moore has continued an experimental style phase with mixed results. However, at the ‘This Is Us’ FYC event on Monday (August 14) in Hollywood, she took a step towards the graceful femininity we know and love with a Valentino Pre-Fall 2017 gown.

The bold, burnt-orange colour was radiant on her, with the romance of the sheer lace adding a layer of subtle allure.

The placement of the four small pockets is questionable, as is the choice of the peachy-nude hue of her Santoni patent leather pumps. Why not an orange tonal sandal, I ask.

But, her Irene Neuwirth earrings and artfully patterned box clutch were right on point.

What do you make of her latest look?
