Zoe Saldana, like most of the stars at the 2013 Independent Spirit Awards this afternoon, breezed onto the red carpet at Santa Monica Beach like a breath of fresh air.
Some of you haven’t been too enthused with Zoe’s last few red carpet looks, but I’m confident you will love her Dolce & Gabbana Spring 2013 green-and-white beach striped frock which was perfect for the seaside location.
You will be surprised to know that even with her white Casadei ‘blade’ pumps, I adore this look from head-to-toe. It just works.

At first glance I thought this dress ages her, but now I’m starting to really like this look. The white pumps actually complement the dress greatly.

A number of her recent looks have been this length, which I am having difficulty warming up to. Love the tiny waist. Maybe if the skirt were pencil instead of A-line, I might like the length better but that would ruin the breezy feel of the look.
It’s a no for me. To be fair, the dress is quite ugly so it’s not Zoe’s fault.
I like the look but not on her. She looks unwell.
I think that green looks just beautiful on her as does the dress silhouette. But I simply can’t swallow all those stripes. Not Zoe’s fault, of course.
YES! She is back!!! This is the Zoe I love–fun, quirky, classy, effortless! The dress is fabulous on her, she brings it to life in the way the model could not. The stripes don’t overwhelm her–she’s glowing. And the shoes are perfect. Totally one of my favorites so far!
