Rachel Weisz is the cover girl for the March 2013 issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK dressed in a Gucci Spring 2013 raspberry 60s-inspired frock with bell sleeves and a cinched belted waist.

The actress looks radiant in her eight-page feature, shot by David Slijper, wearing Ralph Lauren, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo and Fendi.

Having played Evanora, the Wicked Witch of the East in ‘Oz: The Great and Powerful’, Rachel talks exclusively to Harper’s Bazaar about her penchant for playing darker film roles. She also discusses family life, juggling work and how much she loves playing a bad girl.

The full interview appears in the March issue of Harper’s Bazaar UK on sale Tuesday 5th February. Also available as a digital edition. Here are some extracts from her interview:

On playing Evanora, the Wicked Witch of the East: “Because Evanora revels in her badness, she revels in Machiavellian-ness. I guess being bad is a lot of fun. I just watched ‘What Ever Happened to Baby Jane?’ for the very first time in my life last week. It blew my mind. It’s one of the most terrifying things I’ve ever seen, it’s psychological horror isn’t it? Terrifying. I love Bette Davis.”

On unleashing herself in the film realm: “That’s what’s so great about acting, you’re not really responsible. I mean, I’m polite to everyone on set and I’m not a struggle to work with, but in terms of how you get to treat people, it’s carte blanche, because it’s fiction – no one’s really going to get hurt. And it’s a very joyful place to let go.”
