Naomi Watts In Stella McCartney – Silver Linings Playbook Event

Naomi Watts attended the ‘Silver Linings Playbook’ event held at the Chateau Marmont on Friday in California.

Clad in a cleanly-designed Stella McCartney Spring 2013 frock, Naomi looks both high fashion and decidedly relaxed at the event.

Barely-there Valentino heels, a Joan Hornig brass cuff and a shimmering Jennifer Fisher necklace complete this breezy ensemble.

The casual pockets and unexpected slit – coupled with the sage tone and heavier fabric – give this dress a pleasant 90s air.

It’s as if Naomi and Stella have taken the best features of the trends favoured by classic 90s teen idols and effectively updated them for the modern era.

It’s a nostalgic feel that’s still fresh.

Is it just us, or does Naomi’s buttery-blonde hair totally remind you of the ‘Rachel’?

She’s beautiful here. I like the styling, it works really well with this dress.
The hair doesn’t remind me the “Rachel”. Rachel hair was less blonde, more brunette, shorter and more layered.

This is more like the Stella I loathe – it looks like a tent

+4, this look is SO dated, it immediatly screamed nineties to me, I can’t get over it, this is lacking modernity

Naomi looks wow, i adore the colour and dress on her, she is just radiant

Sophisticated cool. Love it. Those shoes are just dreamy! Love the “Rachel” on her too ;)

I could never wear that color but I like everything about this (yeah, I’m shocked) including the styling. Simple, not too many elements but enough for interest. Not seeing a sack (other than the camo color), this dress seems to fit well.

Is that a spot right at her bust? Someone pointed out a spot (stain?) on that fab electric blue Mouret as well. Weird.

I agree with Leeann. The dress is atrocious. It makes me question why Stella McCartney is so popular.

Can’t say I like this dress much but it totally works on Naomi and with her styling.

She looks so unbelievably effortless. I didn’t like this on the runway but Naomi sure sells it!

Love how chic and simple this is. Id love to get this dress however i dont think olive is naomie’s color. The model and jen aniston have that golden glow that sets off the color. Her shoes are better than the model’s at least.
