Bianca Balti In Fendi – ‘Bianca Balti: Scenes From A Fashion Fairy Tale’ Exhibition

Bianca Balti was on hand to officially open the ‘Bianca Balti: Scenes From A Fashion Fairy Tale’ exhibition at Mercati Di Traiano on Friday in Rome, Italy.

The exhibition of 30 photographs dedicated to the Italian model opened to the public on July 07 and runs until September 02, 2012.

I was surprised to see the model known for the Dolce & Gabbana campaigns wear a Fendi Resort 2013 look.

She made the look her own by wearing a two-tone yellow-and-navy keyhole dress with a gorgeous A-line print skirt with soft pleating throughout.

The two-piece look is spectacular; we first saw this type of layering courtesy of Diane Kruger in 10 Crosby Derek Lam.

Bianca’s toe-cap ankle-strap Fendi heels and flawless makeup perfect the look for me.

BDOTW?

You can buy Bianca’s Fendi ankle strap pumps from Neiman Marcus.

Although I am not completely sold on the shoes, I love this. Gorgeous!

    • Nat39 July 9, 2012 at 19:19 #

Not quite sold on the shoes with this outfit either but do like how she layered the pieces, much more successful than Diane’s version imo.

    • Serena July 9, 2012 at 19:37 #

Same here, but I ADORE the ensamble. Gorgeous colors.

  3. Aideen July 9, 2012 at 14:18 #

  10. CreoleLady July 9, 2012 at 15:04 #

Oh yes, a definite BDOTW contender in my book. Swooning over the cap-toes.

  11. MoxieSue July 9, 2012 at 15:11 #

Sorry, but it looks like she’s wearing an apron.

  12. Alina July 9, 2012 at 15:38 #

    Totes!

  13. Rachel July 9, 2012 at 15:48 #

Not convinced… Just looks like she put on two skirts to me.

    • d July 9, 2012 at 17:30 #

      +1!

  14. Ericka July 9, 2012 at 15:50 #

  16. Quinn July 9, 2012 at 16:13 #

    BDOTW for sure!! gorgeous!

  17. Nat39 July 9, 2012 at 16:18 #

Very nice but the shoes aren´t quite right here imo – although these aren´t your typical dull shoes, they do not really complement the dress, and feel rather random and out of place instead.

  18. Kim July 9, 2012 at 16:56 #

What a lovely summer look! This feels like a refreshing take on the peplum

  19. Hisadora July 9, 2012 at 17:13 #

She looks beyond gorgeous here!!! What an amazing look to kick-start this week…

  20. David July 9, 2012 at 17:15 #

most definitely BDOTW!!the definition of putting in effort but not looking like you tried so hard. plus, she’s another one of those “she-could-wear-a-trash-bag-girls”

  21. Dhppy July 9, 2012 at 17:28 #

Wow! I love everything I’m seeing. The skirts were a great concept. Though I wonder if it’s too much fabric for practical movement, it’s striking to the eye. The shoes are fantastic!

    • Sharon July 9, 2012 at 21:08 #

I was wondering the same thing. I do like the way this looks, but are two skirts really comfortable in the hot summer?

  22. Martina July 9, 2012 at 17:29 #

I abosultely love those colors, perfect for summer! Definitely BDOTW :)

  23. andrea July 9, 2012 at 17:30 #

Amazing. Love the layers. I was just thinking over the weekend that we haven’t seen much Fendi on the red carpet lately, what a comeback!

  24. Rebecca Z July 9, 2012 at 17:33 #

I like it, though it has a bit of a ’50s housewife vibe.

    • MoxieSue July 10, 2012 at 15:01 #

Exactly! All she needs is a set of pearls to complete the June Cleaver image.

  25. justme July 9, 2012 at 18:44 #

I wish the A-line skirt was shorter for the peplum effect to be better BUT this is a beautiful look.

  26. Mol July 9, 2012 at 18:49 #

Very creative and beautifully put together. I would potentially vote for this based on the shoes alone!

  27. Hannah July 9, 2012 at 19:38 #

I like the outfit but I don’t love it. I’m not sure if the colours reminds me of IKEA (and a spanish game show I watched when I was way younger), or if it’s because I adore the shoes more than the outfit and wish she had worn something to complemet them instead.
    The shoes are Fendi:

      thank you x

  28. Violetta Parr July 9, 2012 at 19:47 #

She looks flawless without being conventional. In a word: perfect! Easily BDOTW :)

  29. Jones19 July 9, 2012 at 19:57 #

I LOVE THIS LOOK. Sorry to use all caps but the skirt and the top are a perfect match, BDOTW for sure.

  30. Aline July 9, 2012 at 20:24 #

I really like how she matched the clothes and do agree that it’s BDOTW worthy, but – more than the outfit itself – her beautiful smile and genuine “I’m happy to be here” attitude, is what sells this look for me.

  31. dee July 9, 2012 at 20:42 #

I don’t really like the skirts together. Seems like too much fabric on the bottom half.

  32. Tahlia July 9, 2012 at 21:05 #

I love love love this look – I also need those shoes in my life!

  33. Nora July 9, 2012 at 21:17 #

I like the outfit a lot but it’s the smile that clinches it for me! She looks beautiful.

  34. shap_half July 9, 2012 at 22:23 #

She looks good, but I wish that skirt were shorter.

  35. Ann July 10, 2012 at 07:45 #

    Way too bright for me.

  36. Monia July 10, 2012 at 10:58 #

Bianca is radiant as always… I love her! And she’s such a funny person. BDOTW absolutely! GO ITALY!
