Milly Alcock made a guest appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she spoke about cold-calling agents at 13 in an attempt to become an actor, pretending to work with a dog while filming Supergirl, and how she developed her superhero pose.
To say that parts of this press tour have been underwhelming for a film of this scale would be an understatement. I do not think anyone was expecting sequinned gowns or full-blown glamour, but I suspect many of us imagined something with the attitude and irreverence of her McQueen look from the London photocall.
That is exactly why this Paul Smith Fall 2026 suit works for me.
While the oversized proportions will not appeal to everyone, the look feels authentic to Milly in a way that some of the more overtly feminine looks on this tour have not. The relaxed tailoring, untucked shirt and slouchy trousers feel intentionally undone, giving her the kind of ease that has been missing elsewhere.
What really sells the look, however, is the oversized polka-dot tie. It injects humour and personality into the tailoring, preventing the outfit from feeling too formal.
My feeling is that Milly appears most convincing in looks that feel slightly offbeat rather than traditionally glamorous.
After several stops on this press tour where the clothes appeared to be searching for the right version of Milly Alcock, this appearance feels far more convincing. It may not be her most fashion-forward outing, but it feels the most like her.
