Taking a night off Cannes Film Festival jury duty, Diane Kruger made the short trip to Monte Carlo, Monaco, for the ‘Night In Monaco’ Gala Fundraiser benefiting The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation and the William J. Clinton Foundation last night.
The German actress looked beautiful once again wearing a Prabal Gurung Fall 2012 dress.
Her ivory tulle cocktail dress embroidered with threadwork steer’s skull, roses and gold beading had a beautiful ostrich-feathered skirt which was accented with a white leather belt.
Diane rarely disappoints with her styling, and this occasion is not an exception.
She wore the same gold ankle-strap Nicholas Kirkwood for Prabal Gurung heels we saw on the runway plus she added a Roger Vivier ‘Blue Blood Navette’ clutch from the limited edition Rendez Vous collection.
The styling befits the dress: edgy and sexy.
Her look was pulled together with a tousled updo and a pretty-pink lip colour.
It’s great to see continued variety from Diane. We kinda knew she wouldn’t let us down, and after eight days of fashion, she’s hasn’t.
I can’t wait to see what she wears to the amfAR Gala tonight.

I love the bodice of the dress and her styling, but I must say I really dislike the belt and the skirt.

I’m glad she kept the runway shoes, they are fabulous. I also really like the clutch, it goes with the gold theme.
But I gotta say, that dress is unflattering. It makes both the model and Diane look pregnant. The belt sits too high and it all goes downhill from there.
I agree–gorgeous bodice, but the belt and skirt are just not flattering.
Love the sandals (!) and the interesting clutch but the dress is unflattering, agreed. The belt does sit a bit too high, making her upper body look boxy, while the skirt adds a bit too much volume to the bottom.
And personally find this dress a bit of an overkill with all the beading and feathers, looks more like a costume.

What I like about Diane is that she puts some edgyness and personal thouch in that kind of dresses..I mean that type of “marchesish”, “Elie Saabish” dresses. Most stars wear that amazing dresses and don’t put any effort in the accessories..

I have been so excited by Diane at Cannes this year. This time is no exception! While this is a very difficult dress to pull off, I think she does it. The steer skull is a little weird, but it’s easy to ignore that detail. I’m also hoping that the bodice isn’t completely sheer…
Other than that, it’s a great look. I’m especially impressed by her ability to pull off such a potentially unflattering skirt. She does it WAY better than the model, imo! Well done Diane–AGAIN!!!
