2019 Oscars Nominees Luncheon

The 2019 Oscars Nominees Luncheon also saw a number of other bold-named stars joining Lady Gaga and Rachel Weisz for the occasion on Monday (February 4) in Beverly Hills, California.

Amy Adams: The actress kept it simple and luncheon-chic in a rich, forest-green Oscar de la Renta dress paired with Azza Fahmy chandelier earrings as her main source of embellishment.

Regina King:
This ballet-pink Prada dress was undoubtedly precious. But, it struck me as just a bit too twee for Regina.

Yalitza Aparicio: Yalitzia was also wearing a Prada frock that was slightly less precious, which is a good thing in this case. I found its retro silhouette a nice counterbalance to all that signature embellishment, too.

2019 Goya Awards Red Carpet Roundup

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features 2019 Goya Awards

There were many more beauties at the 2019 Goya Awards on Saturday (February 2) in Seville, Spain.

Macarena Gómez: While the embroidery of this Teresa Helbig gown was striking, what really made the look stand out was the addition of the hooded piece for a dramatic, directional ‘little white riding hood’ finish.

Aura Garrido: Glitz — and gams — defined this typically sexy Roberto Cavalli gown that Aura rocked so well. I like how her modern pixie cut and minimal accessories made the look’s sexiness seem effortless.

Natalia de Molina: This Michael Kors dress wasn’t necessarily groundbreaking, but the sizzling crispness of it all in combination with her flame-red hair was impactful.

Kiki Layne In Gucci – HBO Film ‘Native Son’ Dinner

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Kiki Layne In Gucci - HBO Film 'Native Son' Dinner

Kiki Layne attended the HBO Film ‘Native Son’ dinner during Sundance Film Festival on Saturday (January 26) in Park City, Utah.

As you know I’m a huge fan of Kiki’s style, but I’m going to have to take a hard pass on this Gucci Spring 2019 look.

I’m all for evolving your style, but this doesn’t feel like her at all. More like Chloë Sevigny.

Here, I get a sense that she’s trying just a little bit too hard. The Village People hat certifies it.

Emily Blunt In Gucci – ‘Mary Poppins Returns’ Tokyo Premiere

Fashion Blogger Catherine Kallon features Emily Blunt In Gucci - 'Mary Poppins Returns' Tokyo Premiere

‘Mary Poppins Returns’ flew into Tokyo today (January 23), with Emily Blunt attending the premiere held at the Shinagawa Prince Hotel Stellar Ball in Japan.

The British actress has had an amazing run, but this Gucci gown might just challenge the Schiaparelli Haute Couture London premiere dress as my favourite, as I’ve gone full magpie with this dazzling look.

I know some of you don’t like embellishments for embellishment sake, but there is so much charm imbued in this look from the bows to the pearl accents, I’ll be surprised if you are not falling head over heels in love with this look.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

The men continue to make their creative presence known on the red carpet with a fresh round of sharp looks.

Bradley Cooper: The ‘A Star Is Born’ actor attended the IWC Schaffhausen at SIHH 2019 on Tuesday (January 15) in Geneva, Switzerland. He kept things classic in a navy blue and black Gucci suit with Christian Louboutin shoes and an IWC watch. I’m not sure if the slightly eschew bow tie was intentional, but he gets away with it.

Stephan James: The ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ actor continues to demonstrate his flare in Etro with a David Yurman watch on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ on Thursday (January 17). With no socks and a white shirt the bold plaid suit is rather summery, but he’s doing his darnedest to make it work.

Menswear Red Carpet Roundup

An overwhelming majority felt that it was the men who excelled and outshone the ladies at the Golden Globe Awards, and two of the attendees were back on the red carpet to prove their impeccable style isn’t confined to awards season.

Stephan James: I feel this is going to be a great year for the young actor, who stars in ‘Homecoming’ and the upcoming ’17 Bridges’, but it was ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’ he was promoting  alongside Kiki Layne and Tracee Ellis Ross at the screening on Tuesday (January 8) in West Hollywood, California. Wearing black was a rare occurrence for Stephan at the Globes, so I’m delighted he was back to showcasing his love for colour, print and flair wearing a Gucci Cruise 2019 grey and blue plaid Monaco suit, with a turquoise, stripe shirt and Gucci’s ‘Ace’ sneakers with ‘Loved’ appliqued down the side, which apt, as I love his dapper style.
