Celebrities at Trophée Chopard 2025
The annual Trophée Chopard soirée is where rising stars get their flowers. This year’s ceremony, held on Friday evening during the Cannes Film Festival, honoured Marie Colomb and Finn Bennett. While the night belonged to the newcomers, the red carpet veterans stole the spotlight.

still praying for a dark-haired comeback
Angelina Jolie, the face of Tom Ford Beauty and the 2025 Trophée Chopard Godmother, arrived in a white crepe jersey asymmetric dress from Tom Ford by Haider Ackermann. While some of you weren’t exactly jumping out of your seats for her look at the premiere, I found this one-sleeve silhouette gorgeously fluid and refreshingly not beige. A small victory. However, the blonde hair continues to wash her out in these pale tones. The styling was completed with Chopard jewels, but all I could think was: imagine how much more impact this would’ve had with her signature raven tresses.

French cool with a biker twist
Juliette Binoche rocked an asymmetric black leather dress by Courrèges, complete with moto-inspired detailing, was a bold and contemporary choice. I love that she consistently champions French designers, and this was an unexpected turn that paid off. The cut, the attitude, the ease—this is a woman who knows exactly who she is on a red carpet, and it shows.

Third time’s the charm
Carla Bruni wore a familiar piece—the stunning Vivienne Westwood gown that’s been around the celebrity circuit, first on Margot Robbie and then on Kareena Kapoor. The draping, the corsetry, the mesmerizing colour and fabric—it’s the kind of gown that still delivers on impact no matter how many red carpets it crosses. Carla brought her own supermodel poise to it, reminding us why Westwood’s archival pieces continue to be red carpet favourites.

Black, ruched, and safely chic
Halle Berry wore a ruched black Jacquemus Fall 2025 dress, which some might call safe, but after a few misfires earlier in the week, I say this was the right call. The minimalist silhouette and flattering ruching made for a timeless choice. Finished with Chopard jewels, the look was elegant and unfussy. You may remember Pamela Anderson wore the white version to the BAFTAs earlier this year—so the dress is doing the rounds—but Halle made it her own with that signature confidence.
