Jessica Biel Returns to Form in Dolce & Gabbana

Jessica Biel attended the premiere of Apple Original Films’ Matchbox The Movie, held at AMC Lincoln Square Theater in New York last night.

Over the years, when I have said that I miss Jessica Biel’s style, this is what I have been talking about.

The actress was back to her leading-lady best in Dolce & Gabbana, pairing a sharply tailored black double-breasted blazer with a sheer floor-length skirt.

Some might say it’s just an open blazer and a sheer skirt – hardly groundbreaking and certainly not new – but Jessica’s style has felt muted to me in recent years. This feels more confident, more sensual and much closer to the Jessica who appeared to genuinely enjoy fashion in her earlier red carpet days.

There is a sultry sophistication here that I have missed. The clean tailoring gives the sheer skirt exactly the structure it needs, while the lack of a top keeps the look daring without becoming fussy.

Statement diamond earrings were all she needed to complete a look that finally has me excited about Jessica Biel’s style again.
