Queen Máxima Wears Natan & Rockstuds to the Dutch Grand Prix

Queen Máxima looked as elegant as ever wearing one of her go-to labels, Belgian fashion house Natan. Designer Edouard Vermeulen has been dressing the Queen for decades, so her loyalty to the label is hardly surprising. I can’t think of many royals who have maintained such a consistent relationship with one fashion house, but when the results are this good, you can understand why.

There was an ease to this look that felt perfect for a daytime sporting event, with the oversized white floral motif on the skirt giving the neutral palette plenty of personality.

A complementary clutch continued the neutral theme, but the biggest surprise came from her shoes. Queen Máxima wore Valentino Garavani Rockstud espadrille wedge sandals – not the newer Rockstud styles we’ve recently seen on celebrities, but the house’s long-standing espadrille wedges.

I wasn’t expecting a Rockstud throwback from Queen Máxima, but this was the perfect setting for their return. They are far more relaxed than the classic Rockstud pumps, and the wedge was a practical choice for a day spent walking around the circuit.

Cartier Panthère Classic cat-eye gold-tone sunglasses completed her look.
