Khloé Kardashian Goes Minimal for ‘The Girls’ Launch
The launch of The Girls: A Khloé Kardashian Project was celebrated with a tastemaker event at Nobu Malibu, where executive producer Khloé Kardashian was joined by the full cast: Natalie Halcro, Khadijah Haqq, Malika Haqq, Yris Palmer, Olivia Pierson and Nicole Williams English.

Khloé was in full executive-producer mode, because it’s not often we see her in an LBD this simple.

Her style usually comes with a lot more – whether that means cut-outs, sheer fabrics or high glamour – but this black mini feels surprisingly pared back by Khloé’s standards. The sunglasses, diamonds and black pumps keep it firmly within her style vocabulary, but for an event where the project and its cast were the focus, I can see why she dialled things down.

And then you see how her friends and cast members were dressed, and her decision to separate herself both style-wise and role-wise makes even more sense. Between the metallics, plunging necklines, cut-outs, fringe and sparkle, Khloé’s streamlined black mini immediately sets her apart as the woman behind the project.
There’s also something about the group picture that is giving me early-2000s reality-TV glamour – the body-conscious dresses, sparkle, exposed skin and everyone bringing their own version of going-out fashion. It feels like a throwback, although I’m not convinced this particular era needed revisiting.
