‘Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma’ LA Premiere

Gillian Anderson and Hannah Einbinder continued promoting Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma at the Los Angeles premiere held at the DGA Theater Complex this week, and their looks couldn’t have been more different.

Blooming Beautiful

Gillian Anderson in Miu Miu still feels like an unexpected pairing, but that probably comes down to the label’s reputation for youthful, playful dressing – think Storm Reid and Coco Gauff. Yet Miu Miu has long appealed to women across generations without losing its distinctive identity.

This embroidered white shirt dress captures everything I want from summer dressing. It’s light, easy and unfussy, and the metallic sandals keep the styling fresh. The updo also shifts the mood slightly, giving the look a subtle 1950s feel that works perfectly with the shirt-dress silhouette.

Textured Triumph

Despite Hannah Einbinder wearing a black custom Collina Strada gown for a summer premiere, I really like this look.

I’m all about details, so I’m sold on the woven texture and the silhouette. There have been moments this year where Hannah has experimented with her red carpet style, and the results haven’t always landed for me (Willy Chavarria). I don’t know if that’s because she’s stepped away from the tailoring she once favoured, or because she’s relied less on Gucci and Louis Vuitton while trying to redefine her style on the red carpet.

This feels like everything has clicked back into place, and bringing Karla Welch on board appears to have played a big part in that. Styled with Neil Lane earrings, it’s one of my favourite Hannah Einbinder looks of the year.
