Fresh from joining Jay-Z on stage at Yankee Stadium to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his Reasonable Doubt concert, Rihanna was spotted out in New York City.

Fans are still hoping her surprise appearance with Jay-Z marks the beginning of a musical return. This outing only added to that speculation as she stepped out wearing a Mitchell & Ness x Jay-Z Roc-A-Fella basketball jersey with relaxed track pants.

Originally released in 2003 to coincide with Jay-Z’s The Black Album era and his then-planned retirement, the Mitchell & Ness Roc-A-Fella jersey has become a collectible piece for fans. With Rihanna remaining part of the Roc Nation family, the choice felt like a natural nod to that long-standing connection following her surprise appearance alongside Jay-Z.

She balanced the sporty look with luxury accessories, carrying a metallic black-and-silver Gucci Jackie Slim bag with Gucci wraparound sunglasses and Christian Louboutin Super Loubi studded rubber flip-flops.

The result was a relaxed street-style look with a little music history woven into it.
