Alexa Demie Wore Chanel Haute Couture Out In Paris
Alexa Demie played it safe in a sleek black dress for the Chanel Fall 2026 Haute Couture show, but she saved the more interesting fashion moment for afterwards.

The Euphoria actress was later spotted leaving her hotel to greet fans wearing a Chanel Spring 2026 Haute Couture mini dress.
If you don’t remember seeing this look on the runway, that’s because Alexa stripped it back. Rather than wearing the complete runway look, she chose only the pastel sheer muslin slip dress embroidered with colourful mushrooms, leaving behind the matching jacket and layered skirt.
Now this is exactly the kind of “make it your own” approach I always champion. I was fairly critical of this collection when it debuted, but seeing Margot Robbie and now Alexa Demie reinterpret these looks away from the runway has made me appreciate it much more. Sometimes all a collection needs is a little editing to reveal its appeal.

This isn’t the kind of Haute Couture that immediately grabs your attention through sculptural construction or technical showmanship in the way Robert Wun or Balenciaga often does.
Instead, the craftsmanship lies in the meticulous embroidery, the delicate finish of the sheer muslin and the hours of handwork required to create something that appears deceptively effortless. It’s also a reminder that Haute Couture isn’t always about volume or dramatic silhouettes; sometimes it’s about extraordinary detail within a seemingly simple silhouette.
One thing is certain: this look was perfectly suited to the Paris heatwave. Removing the extra layers made the dress feel lighter, and fresher.
Chanel accessories completed her look, although I do wish she’d been given a lighter-coloured shoe. The black pumps felt a little heavy against such an airy dress, even if they almost disappeared against those geometric floor tiles.
