Charlize Theron Wore Givenchy To ‘The Odyssey’ London Premiere

Charlize Theron made her first appearance of The Odyssey press tour at the world premiere in London’s Odeon Luxe Leicester Square this evening.

And I am so mad.

Like… what even is this?

I had convinced myself that if anyone would be spared the bow-accented arm warmers from Sarah Burton’s Givenchy Fall 2026 collection, it would be Charlize. Apparently not.

The black velvet gown itself is elegant. Sleek, draped and undeniably Charlize. For that reason, I can even overlook the fact that she’s wearing velvet in this heat. But those oversized white arm warmers completely derail it. They interrupt the clean line of the silhouette, and the stark contrast against the black velvet only makes them feel more intrusive. Making them longer than they appeared on the runway only compounds the problem.

This was not worth the wait.

Thirty seconds ago I was on cloud nine still thinking about Zendaya’s Schiaparelli Haute Couture triumph. Then this brought me crashing back to earth.
