Ophelia Lovibond Wore O Pioneers x Mary Quant To ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ Press Night

Ophelia Lovibond previously played Hermia in a stage production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream, so it felt fitting that the British actress attended the press night for the new cast in support of a play she already has a personal connection to.

Whenever I see Ophelia on the red carpet, my mind immediately goes to the stylish women walking down Carnaby Street in 1966.

So it came as no surprise to see her wearing a look from the O Pioneers x Mary Quant collaboration, which revisits Quant’s Swinging Sixties designs through the lens of O Pioneers’ romantic aesthetic.

Ophelia was the perfect choice to bring the collection to life. Her style has always felt like a love letter to British Mod fashion, making this collaboration feel like a natural extension of her wardrobe.

The Connie dress is one of the standout pieces in the collection. Crafted from Liberty fabric, its cheerful floral print, contrasting bib front, puff sleeves and playful silhouette capture the youthful optimism that defined Quant’s designs. It’s another detail that roots the collaboration firmly in British fashion history, celebrating two names that helped shape the country’s creative identity in very different ways.

Ophelia completed the look with a Shrimps Antonia ‘Something Blue’ bag and complementary pink suede mules. While Shrimps is a contemporary British label, its vintage sensibility made it the perfect companion to the O Pioneers x Mary Quant collaboration, ensuring the look felt cohesive from head to toe.

The matching backdrop was quite the coincidence.
