Zendaya Wore Khaite For ‘The Odyssey’ Press Junket

I really did think Zendaya might skip the early part of The Odyssey press tour, especially considering that her Spider-Man: Brand New Day tour has only just wrapped. But she was spotted in New York today, seamlessly moving from one blockbuster to the next.

That transition is reflected in this Khaite Resort 2027 look.

Gone are the spiderweb references and thematic dressing that defined her Spider-Man appearances. Instead, we’re getting something refreshingly understated. To be honest, I’m looking forward to a press tour where the focus is simply on the fashion.

But if you’re looking for a connection to the film, it’s there. The flowing ivory two-piece gives Zendaya a goddess-like presence that immediately calls Athena to mind, without feeling like she stepped straight off the set.

The biggest surprise, however, wasn’t the outfit.

It was the shoes.

No Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps.

I know you’re probably as surprised as I was. Zendaya and So Kate pumps have become almost inseparable over the years, thanks largely to Law Roach, who once revealed on The Cutting Room Floor podcast that the shoe became their signature after Zendaya stubbornly persevered through the pain of wearing them as a teenager.

“It’s kind of became our thing,” Roach explained, adding that Zendaya’s feet eventually became so accustomed to the stilettos that she could wear them all day, dance in them and even run downstairs.

Instead, she opted for delicate Christian Louboutin Millennium buckled python-effect metallic leather sandals, giving the look a fresh finish.

Perhaps this is the first sign that this press tour will be less about familiar formulas and more about keeping us guessing. If today’s appearance is any indication, I’m ready for that.
