Penelope Cruz Wore Chanel Promoting ‘The Invite’

Penelope Cruz was in Los Angeles this weekend attending press junkets for her upcoming film, The Invite, which co-stars Olivia Wilde, Seth Rogen and Edward Norton ahead of its U.S. release on June 26.

Celebrity hairstylist Dimitris Giannetos, who is responsible for Amal Clooney’s glossy hair moments, shared these images of Penelope before her interviews, and I couldn’t help but be so enamoured with how she styled her Chanel Pre-Fall 2026 tweed jacket.

Some of you might be thinking, “But she just paired it with a simple white bodysuit and jeans,” to which I would reply, exactly.

Remember the days when Penelope would wear a full tweed suit and the look would instantly add years to her? On this occasion, stripping the jacket away from its matching skirt completely changed the mood. The white bodysuit and relaxed denim gave the tweed a casual ease that felt far more modern and far less formal.

This is one of those reminders that styling can make all the difference.

You may remember that Julia Louis-Dreyfus wore this same jacket to The Sheep Detectives New York premiere, where she also made the look her own. But for me, Penelope’s off-duty approach highlights just how versatile this piece can be.

Most importantly, it feels fresh, and that isn’t always a word I associate with a Penelope wearing a classic Chanel tweed jacket.
