One thing this occasion always calls for is impeccable tailoring. You simply cannot arrive at Windsor Castle without looking your Sunday best, even if the ceremony falls on a Tuesday morning.

The Wicked star, who is currently starring in a groundbreaking one-person stage adaptation of Dracula at London’s Noël Coward Theatre, leaned fully into her dramatic sensibilities wearing a custom Givenchy by Sarah Burton look composed of a sharply tailored double-breasted Pinch jacket paired with a sweeping black tulle skirt.

This silhouette is classic Burton. The sculpted waist and exaggerated peplum created such a striking architectural shape, while the softness and movement of the layered tulle skirt helped balance precision and theatricality in a way that felt entirely fitting for Cynthia.

I also love how the look subtly nodded to her Elphaba era, with the all-black palette, strong shoulders, and elongated proportions carrying that darkly elegant mood she wears so well.

The sculptural beret added another layer, giving the ensemble a distinctly Parisian finish, while the grey patent Givenchy Sliced platform pumps brought an unexpected modern edge to the otherwise formal silhouette.

Stylist: Jason Bolden.
