Amal Clooney Revives Archive McQueen For The King’s Trust
Amal Clooney attended The King’s Trust 50th Anniversary Celebration held at Royal Albert Hall on Monday evening alongside husband George Clooney.

After a recent run of current-season looks, Amal dipped back into the archives wearing an Alexander McQueen Fall 2007 gold sequined gown featuring a striking Art Deco-inspired geometric design. The gown also marked a return to the column silhouette she so often gravitates towards, and for good reason, because this shape consistently works in her favour.

The gold patterning creates a beautiful linear effect across the gown, but there is also something distinctly old-school Hollywood about this kind of fully embellished gold look, and that is the kind of glamour Amal often taps into so well.
The styling was equally well judged. Between the metallic pumps, matching clutch, and gold jewellery, everything tied together seamlessly, giving the look a rich, high-glamour finish from head to toe.

Some of you may remember Cameron Diaz wearing this same design to the Tokyo premiere of Shrek the Third back in 2007, and nearly two decades later, the gown still looks just as glamorous. Archive McQueen never misses.
