Celebrities in Saint Laurent at the 2026 Met Gala
For the 2026 Met Gala, Saint Laurent was a main fashion sponsor alongside Condé Nast, which saw Anthony Vaccarello dress thirteen celebrities. I know what you’re thinking – thirteen all-black looks? Thankfully, that wasn’t the case, so I’ll start with those who stepped outside the house’s expected colour palette.

Goes Off-Script
Hailey Bieber was the biggest surprise of the night. Her style is consistently minimalist, black, and often mini, and she has previously attended the Met Gala in little more than a tuxedo jacket and tights. Seeing her lean into full goddess mode with a 24-carat gold sculpted breastplate was unexpected. This could have easily been paired with classic black Saint Laurent tailoring – which would have worked – but the lapis-blue maxi skirt and draped lavallière ensured the look felt far more striking.

This comfortably sits in my top ten of the night. Belperron jewellery echoed the goldwork and the blue tones.

The Backless & The Beautiful
Another Saint Laurent LBD loyalist who stepped outside her usual lane was Anja Rubik, Anthony Vaccarello’s forever muse. For someone who favours a backless silhouette, this rhinestone-draped look left me weak at the knees. Boucheron jewels completed the look.

A Singer With One Note
Doja Cat’s Saint Laurent chiffon-silicone look needed something more. Her skin, hair, dress, and shoes all sat within the same tonal range, which flattened the overall impact. A touch of contrast would have elevated this. Still, I don’t dislike it entirely. Saint Laurent Kika platform mules completed her look.

Runway Drama, Real-Life Compromise
As many of you often say, some runway looks only work on models, and Imaan Hammam proved that point. When Zoe Kravitz wore a similar Saint Laurent Spring 2026 ruffled gown, she was overwhelmed by it. Here, the proportions feel more balanced. The styling helps, with the Saint Laurent crystal heart necklace and matching Cassandra earrings, but the white Saint Laurent P.A.R.I.S. pumps leave me conflicted.

A Shift Within A Signature
Some will say that seeing Zoe Kravitz in black lace Saint Laurent is nothing new, but I’m drawn to this newer silhouette. The basque waist gives it a different structure, and while it’s sheer, it doesn’t rely on the more overt elements we’ve seen from her before. That alone marks progress. Saint Laurent Phantom slingbacks completed the look, with Jessica McCormack jewellery adding a refined finish. This is one of my favourite Saint Laurent moments from her.

Predictable?
Charlotte Gainsbourg, another of Vaccarello’s long-standing muses, delivers exactly what you expect – and that’s not a negative. It’s less about repetition and more about attitude. This leather high-low cascading leather dress taps into her signature insouciance, with the floral belt and coordinating earrings adding a subtle decorative note without disrupting the mood.

Goth, But Make It Glam
Charli XCX has found a strong rhythm with Saint Laurent in recent times. The part-velvet, part-chiffon gown plays into her current aesthetic without losing the house’s codes, while the floral detail adheres to the night’s artistic theme. David Yurman jewels completed the look.

Crystal Clarity
Amelia Gray’s Saint Laurent gown had just enough embellishment to keep it Met Gala-ready. Chopard jewels completed her look.

Barely-There, Still Effective
Kate Moss returned to familiar territory with a sheer black Saint Laurent dress. It’s consistent with her red carpet approach: nothing forced, nothing overthought, just a continuation of her established style.

Sharp Tailoring, Softened By Texture
Rami Malek’s Saint Laurent look delivered a strong, structured line, with the fur collar and brooch adding interest to the otherwise pared-back silhouette.

Glossed-Up Tailoring
Rauw Alejandro opted for a high-shine Saint Laurent look, with the patent-like finish bringing a modern edge to classic tailoring.

Minimal With A Focal Point
Rosé kept things sleek in black Saint Laurent, with the sculptural embellishment acting as the focal point. It’s simple, but the detailing and styling carry the look.

Theatrical Closing Note
Madonna delivered the night’s most dramatic Saint Laurent moment, arriving with a procession and extended veil that turned the carpet into a full tableau. It was unapologetically performative and exactly what you would expect from someone whose style has been evolving for five decades.
