Nicole Kidman’s Moulin Rouge-Inspired Chanel Look At The 2026 Met Gala
Nicole Kidman is one of the co-chairs for the 2026 Met Gala celebrating “Costume Art.”
The theme isn’t as defined as previous years, so it was always open to interpretation.
Nicole’s appeared to lean into a Moulin Rouge reference, which is the energy coming through from this custom Chanel by Matthieu Blazy red sequin gown. The saturated red, the high-shine finish, and the feathered detailing all tap into that cabaret showgirl aesthetic, while the long, lean silhouette keeps it aligned with classic red carpet codes rather than pushing fully into a theme.
As gorgeous as she looks, it does feel a touch underwhelming for a co-chair, who should be setting the tone for the night.
