Amal Clooney Wore Elie Saab To The Cartier Women’s Initiative Dialogues
Amal Clooney made her return to the spotlight at the Cartier Women’s Initiative Dialogues in Milan this week, an event dedicated to celebrating and supporting women entrepreneurs driving social and environmental change.

We often associate Amal with vibrant colour, so seeing her step out in an all-black look from Elie Saab’s Fall 2026 collection immediately reframes my feelings about her style. This isn’t about stepping away from colour; it’s about showing she doesn’t need it.

The look pairs a soft, close-fitting knit with a croc-embossed pencil skirt, where the strength lies in the simplicity of the pairing. It feels sharp, direct, and entirely in step with the tone of the event, as she’s dressed for the room she’s in, rather than a red carpet moment dropped into the wrong setting.

Her long-time hairstylist, Dimitris Giannetos, revealed on Instagram that her updated colour is called La Panthère, inspired by Cartier’s signature motif. The richer tones add depth and frame her face beautifully, giving her signature blowout a more defined edge that sits seamlessly against the all-black palette.
Cartier jewels completed the look.
