Alana Haim Wore Louis Vuitton To ‘The Drama’ New York Premiere
Alana Haim joined her co-star Zendaya on the red carpet for the New York premiere of The Drama last night, where Nicolas Ghesquière delivered a lesson – no, a masterclass – in crease-free fabric. So precise, it belongs in the Louvre.

I am in complete awe of this custom Louis Vuitton tailored green silk gown. From the cinched waist to the jacket-inspired pocket detail – possibly a subtle nod to a groomsman – everything is working. Not a single crease in sight, and, most importantly, the hem hits the ground at exactly the right length. I don’t know what sacrifices Alana had to make to keep this looking so pristine. Did she travel standing up? Glide in horizontally? Or have someone chasing her with a steamer? Whatever the method, it paid off.
And then there’s the colour. This shade of green is sensational on her and easily elevates this to one of her best Louis Vuitton red carpet moments, and that’s not a claim I make lightly.
While I wish the corsage worn on her wrist had been a lighter hue, I like how this also nods to the film without being a totally overpowering statement. The real focus remains on the strength of the colour and the flawless finish of the gown.
The Tumbler necklace and LV Monogram Star-cut diamonds from the Louis Vuitton High Jewelry collection completed her look.
