While my feelings toward taffeta have long been documented, this is exactly how the fabric should behave. The usual heavy creasing we often see isn’t present here; instead, the skirt holds its shape cleanly, which keeps the finish looking sharp rather than rumpled.

Some might not be immediately sold on this, but jewellery events like this call for a more stately, classic approach. An archival gown reinforces that sense of occasion, especially at a house like Bvlgari, where heritage plays such a central role.

The simplicity of the strapless neckline is key here, as it leaves space for the jewellery to stand out without distraction.

What I appreciate most is the balance. The gown has presence, but it doesn’t compete with the jewellery. It supports it, allowing the necklace and earrings to remain the focal point, which is exactly how a look like this should function.
