Gemma Chan Wore Steve O Smith To The Cartier High Jewelry Taipei Event

A gala dinner event was held in Taipei by Cartier, where the Maison unveiled its third chapter of the En Équilibre High Jewellery Collection; an exquisite dialogue of light, nature, and design, showcased through over 350 creations spanning High Jewellery to Fine Watchmaking.

Gemma Chan, who has been a Cartier ambassador since May 2025, was in attendance, looking as radiant as ever while showcasing the newest Cartier collection.

But even those stunning jewels cannot distract me from her Steve O Smith Fall 2025 dress. Gemma tends to opt for sleek Armani Privé for these events, so I was surprised to see her choose this graphic black brushstroke and sheer design.

While this is a new direction for her style, it still taps into her elegance, with this look offering a more artistic, expressive take on that signature.

The look was simply styled with black Aquazzura pumps.

You may remember that Fan Bingbing wore this same dress back in October last year, and it marked a similar shift in direction for the Chinese actress.
